I think I prefer tax income to be used for paying doctors rather than for supposed winter fuel allowance to comfortably off pensioners. It’s about time the economy was geared to towards working and earning people instead of elderly Tory voters… So where is the £11 Billion coming from that your side is going to give to foreign countries?.

Still trying to run away from your own statement , right ? You said “ I think I prefer tax income to be used for paying doctors rather than for supposed winter fuel allowance to comfortably off pensioners.“right? Winter fuel allowance will only be received by pensioners on pension credit , right? So according to you pensioners NOT on pension credit are “ well off”., right ? Once again the leftie posts shit and pretends that he didn’t …..right? Christ Bentley, you rattle on like a clapped out Skoda with its big ends gone... You made a statement . You ran away from the statement three times . Then you turned into a little bitch . Perhaps it’s about your little end .

You replied to my reply. I replied accordingly. Are you comparing people who have paid a lifetime of national insurance to ones that have not? I was of course pointing out the parallel. My mum will be losing out, as she's 91 on Thursday but not on pension credit. If she needs I'll bung her a couple of candles If she’s on pension credit , she won’t lose out . Don’t set the house alight on Thursday .

Yeah, thinking about it, she should have enough candles... She will lose out, she isn't on pension credit. She doesn't need it though, and I suspect she's happy enough to lose it.

It’s a pity I didn’t know she didn’t want it earlier , she could have given it to me .

Well indeed, there's plenty of pensioners getting it who don't need it, but isn't that rather the point?

How about pensioners just outside of pension credits yet losing £2/300 heating allowance ? Is that fair ?

Well indeed, there's plenty of pensioners getting it who don't need it, but isn't that rather the point? Define ‘ don’t need it ‘. Your Mum may not need her state pension . Maybe we should take it away from her.

If she’s happy to give away money , maybe you should get her tested for mental cognition or even sainthood.

I haven't discussed it since the announcement, but she doesn't need it to pay her gas or electric bill, but she still receives it, at a higher rate too, simply because of her age. She's always wondered why she gets it. I'm sure she will be OK with losing it.

Do you honestly think my mum is the only pensioner who receives WFA but doesn't need it? 🤷 Do you honestly think that there are no pensioners who will lose WFA but still need it ? See I can do that. We can’t base who gets the heating allowance on your mum. No matter how much you seem to want to

According to Age concern that upto 2 millon pensioners will lose out if WFA.
Is means tested .
So According to the figures put out there's 8 million not losing out.
So my solution will be set the rate of means tested benefit at a higher rate .
To lift the 2 million out of it.
