So we knew Labour would cave in, the doctors strike was orchestrated to bring down the Tory government ...... we all know that.
Right so dickhead has agreed 22% pay rise, he caved in just like Blair, but this time dickhead had a chance to implement 'with conditions' like Blair failed to do with GP contracts.
Get the lazy arse fuckers 'WORKING' clear the backlog they have caused playing politics, and deliver a decent service, then tackle the lazy arse fuckin useless GPs WFH, who have brought A&E departments to BREAKING POINT.

If you ask me, junior doctors whose pay has been cut year after year in real terms and are now doing a vital job for only a couple of quid more per hour than a shelf stacker gets, are far more needful and deserving of the money than you, claiming handouts you dont need having not done a productive job in years. Already because these highly qualified professionals can earn much better pay for far fewer hours elsewhere we are suffering a recruitment and retention crisis. But we have no shortage of unproductive, whingeing pensioners wanting handouts they dont even need. I know where I'd rather see the money go and who is more deserving. And it isn't you.

Get real 'shelf stacker's' don't earn on average £44,135 pa, and let me tell you something else, shelf stackers work far more harder than junior doctors.
The estimated total pay for a Junior Doctor is £44,135 , with an average salary of £36,890 per year. This number represents the median, which is the midpoint of the ranges from our proprietary Total Pay Estimate model and based on salaries collected from our users

And they work stupid hours for that. If my employer allowed me to work the same number of hours as they typically do, I could get my pay well above 30k just by sitting on a pigging checkout scanning beans, lol. And if 36k is the median there will be some on substantially less.

I also thought shelf stackers were on anything from £8.50 and hour to £9.50 an hour and junior doctors were on £15 and hour what will they be getting now.

As a doctor in training you'll earn a basic salary, plus pay for any hours over 40 per week, a 37 per cent enhancement for working nights, a weekend allowance for any work at the weekend, an availability allowance if you are required to be available on-call, and other potential pay premia.

The minimum wage is £11.44 now for most adults and shelf stackers in my store are on just over £12 an hour. If our employer had us working 50 hour weeks we could get our pay well above 30k. If we were to work 60 hour weeks we'd earn more than the median for junior doctors, who often do work ridiculously long hours for what they get

They are still leaving in droves due to far better offers elsewhere and are far more deserving of the money than you are. So whinge away. I don't care. I am glad they are taking it from you to put it to better use.

Trainee Shelf stackers earn over £32000 per annum from day 1 of their training ? Well I never , how much does a checkout assistant earn if that's so , is that why supermarkets have seen increased prices? Trainee doctors who have only just qualified and still training on the very lowest rung of the ladder will see their basic pay increase from £32000 to nearly £37000 with this backdated monster pay rise. Let's hope that at least some of these apprentices are competent The government will also accept the recommendations of the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration (DDRB) for 2024-25 and uplift each part of the pay scale by 6%, plus £1,000 on a consolidated basis, averaging an increase of over 8%, with an effective date of 1 April 2024. Both rises combined means a doctor starting foundation training in the NHS will see their base pay increase to £36,600

Which illustrates the point about why junior doctors ought to be paid a lot more than them. Shelf stackers tend to be paid the going rate from day 1 The only reason they don't earn 32k per annum is they don't do anything like the same hours as junior doctors. If they did their pay would be far nearer 30k or more.
