Any leftys on here care to explain how this sides with the bullshit she spouted last month ?
Any Righties on here prepared to recognise the the £billions black hole left by the Tories? At 85 years old and with ever decreasing funds I will be one of those hard hit by the changes being made. But that leaves me with mixed feelings because if I was in a private situation similar to the chancellor my instinct would be to sort the basics out first, then proceed to improve things after a realistic position had been reached. "A Treasury spokesperson is quoted as saying they've begun "fixing the foundations" to grow the economy, and keep taxes "as low as possible". Of course Righties will only see an opportunity to denigrate the Government.

The black hole was a lie. Proof please. Silence is golden. Can you tell me what the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer does, and who was that when the Tories were in power? Who fabricated the black hole? Are you claiming your skull is thicker than my doorstop? Laborites are utterly gullible, but every society does have a low IQ demographic.

Reeves is right and wrong.
There is always a "black hole" of sorts because it's the difference between budgets and actual spending.
However, she has included the £10b cost of the NHS / public sector pay rise, which she signed off on... if she really was concerned about the blackhole she could have reduced it to around the inflation rate.
Also £20b is nothing, and will be wiped out by any sort of growth. They are using the "blackhole" to justify the ideological nonsense they are doing.
