Says the anti-English bigot who refuses to recognise that he is an anti-English bigot. You just can't make up the crap this Unionist, who maintains he is persuadable on Independence, says. You are still kidding yourself on that you are not an anti-English bigot, I see.

Where is the bigotry? As a Scot I support my country. When, as sure as night follows day, we are knocked out, I am free to support any country I want to support. In this instance I have chosen Slovakia Not supporting England is a popular pastime, and it is not one that will be silenced by the mass hysteria from little people demanding that we must support their country. It doesn't work like that!!! I have asked you, many times, in what way I am a bigot. You came up with some stuff that was supposed to be evidence. But, it was all in your warped mind.

England are Brits, you are a Brit. We are fellow countrymen. We are fellow inhabitants of one united island nation. As much as I was disappointed by Scotland's shit performance, I supported Scotland and my ideal would have been a Scotland vs England final with either of us as the winner.
We Brits are family. I support both. You should too.

I laid it all out for you before, using a list of things you have said and attitudes that you have displayed on here (and therefore not things that were just in my mind), which individually suggest, and collectively leave no doubt, that you are an anti-English bigot. You simply compound that unavoidable conclusion with much of what you continue to post on here including the words and behaviour that I have called you out on above. You are, of course, like the rest of us, including the racists and bigots amongst us, free to choose which country, if any, to support. However, this is not about you doing that and choosing a team that you would like to do well for positive reasons but about your negative motivations where you want England to lose no matter who they face, which is pathetic and twisted and a clear indication of anti-English bigotry. BTW - As a Scot, your country is the United Kingdom and England is a team from your country, just a different part than the Scottish part. Therefore, employing your own argument where you say that you will support your own country, that alone should lead you to support England. However, your flagrant anti-English bigotry obviously gets in the way of you recognising this constitutional reality too, sad and pathetic man that you are.

Not only that but in your post above you said that you obviously will support anyone but England, which indicates that you are aware or, and appreciate that others are also aware of, your anti-English bigotry. BTW - As a Scot, your country is the United Kingdom and England is a team from your country, just a different part than the Scottish part. I am now supporting Slovakia. I'm afraid you'll have to enlighten me about this "flagrant" anti-English bigotry. The constitutional "reality" is that two countries, England & Scotland, the principality of Wales, and the made up region known as NI. make up the UK state. Your idiocy knows no bounds. And just for good measure, here's the flag of a country I do support and sympathise with.

No, the part of your country that you and I come from and live in has been knocked out. There is still a team from another part of our country to get behind and cheer on, for those of us with healthy attitudes at least. Of course, as an anti-English bigot you obviously won’t do that. I have already explained your flagrant anti-English bigotry to you. Your description of the constitutional position is based upon ill-informed, although widely believed, factoids not fact. If you prefer to wallow in myth because it suits your anti-English bigotry to do so then that’s your choice but if you want to get your facts straight then make some time to read the Acts of Union 1707 and 1801.

My country is out, and I have now shifted my allegiance to Slovakia You'll have to explain that "flagrant anti-English bigotry" again, because you are making little sense. I wouldn't get too uppity about the 1706/7 Treaty of Union, if I were you. The Anglo-Scottish Union was a put up job based on, for the most part, two parties with the same outcome in mind. Few anti union people were appointed commissioners, one notable exception being George Lockhart. That the Acts say "... for ever after ...", means very little in the scheme of things. the articles have been breached several times. In addition to the 2014 referendum, which could have brought that "... for ever after ... " to a sticky end, a bill was introduced in the HoL in 1713, by the Earl of Seafield, aiming for dissolution of the Union. The bill was defeated by only 4 votes. So, the Acts are not so 'set in stone' as you would like to believe. Some flagrant abuses of the legislation have occurred over the years with the Malt Tax controversy being a prime example, one that led to the Seafield dissolution attempt. If the Union was to make all the Queen's subjects "British", it failed dramatically. The attempt to rename Scotland 'North Britain' never took off. And, today English and Scottish identities continue. The flimsy nature of the proposed Union was witnessed by the need to buy off two important sections of society: ministers and lawyers. The former by confirming the supremacy, of the CoS, in Scotland (no CoE here), and the latter by enshrining the continuation of Scots Law.

“My country is out, and I have now shifted my allegiance to Slovakia”
Your country was never in for it to now be out. Part of your country, the largest and the most populous by far, is still in. That part is England and you have shifted your allegiance, as you have said above, to anyone but England, demonstrating your anti-English bigotry .
“You'll have to explain that "flagrant anti-English bigotry" again, because you are making little sense.”
No, I don’t have to. I have already laid it out quite clearly in another thread in the manner that I describe above. Even if I were so inclined to waste my time doing something that I have already done again, doing so would not make one jot of difference as far as you are concerned. Indeed, nothing will, unless and until you cease to be an anti-English bigot and, in so doing, drop your resistance and open your mind to accepting what you were. In the unlikely event that that will ever happen I am sure that you will be overwhelmed with shame for what you once were.
“I wouldn't get too uppity about the 1706/7 Treaty of Union, if I were you.”
I am not getting in the least bit uppity; just stating the facts and the truth - and I am not talking about the Treaty of Union but about the Acts of Union.

That’s all just vacuous and/or irrelevant bluster, none of which makes any difference to the fact that The Kingdom of Scotland and The Kingdom of England both ceased to exist in 1707, instead merging to become the larger Kingdom of Great Britain - which in turn ceased to exist in 1801, instead merging with The Kingdom of Ireland to become the even larger United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland which, bar the secession of part of Ireland a century or so ago, leaving us with The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is how things remain to this day.

English sporting failures make a lot of the sweaties feel good about themselves . It’s petty but it’s ingrained . It reduces the strain of their shoulder chips . I would agree. I am an Anglophile yet when the England football team play I find it hard to support them and always get a little thrill when an opposing team scores. It is ingrained yet my Mum was English and otherwise I like England and the English. An English sporting team brings out the worst in most Scots. It is undoubted bigotry that many revel in. I try to keep it at the jolly banter level but have gone over the top once or twice after a couple of drinks for which I am ashamed.

Becauseyou don't like, or don't understand my reply, is your problem. The Acts have been amended Fact. There is absolutely no reason why Article 1 can't be broken. Indeed, in 2014 we had the opportunity to do just that
