You're talking about a result over a year ago. I am talking about how you were the worst team in the Euro's and comparing that to the second best team in Europe. There's no comparison is there? As sad as it is, is this why you feel you have to support other nations at the Euros? When did I compare Scotland's performance to England's. Compare England's record with the big footballing nations: World Cup Winners - Brazil (5); Germany (4) [3 as W Germany]; Argentina (3); France (2); Spain (1). England does equal Spain's one success, but, unlike England, Spain has won the Euros (4 times); Germany (3); France (2); Italy (2). so, comparing with the big guns does not come out well for England Your country was lucky to get through from the Group stage. Draws against countries well below them in the rankings: Denmark (21); Slovenia (57). Needing extra time to defeat Slovakia (45), and penalties to get the better of Switzerland (19). They fluked their way to the Final Excuses and bitterness form a Scot with a grudge . Woodhouse is proved to be right again . Come on England ! |

Your team's inability to win any International competition, which is held outside England, has you all hot and bothered. Having said that, didn't you lose the Euros when it was held in England? England does just fine, they're in a very small elite group of seven nations who have ever won the world cup, and in the past 3 years have reached a final twice. But why are Scotland so consistently unable to even qualify from the group stages? |

But why are Scotland so consistently unable to even qualify from the group stages? A combination of bad luck, inability and certainly this one playing rubbish football. Quite often it has been almost but scoring goals is the only way to really progress and that is a problem. They have had some really good moments but not enough of them. In 74 with the players they had they should have done more. |

I think Morayloon probably hates Westminster, but I believe him when he says he doesn't hate the English. In my experience, if a Scot dislikes you, he doesn't mind telling you to your face.

No one is doubting that, it is what he thinks that is the giveaway, parochial and insular with a deep and unquenchable hatred of the English, which is why we tend to take the mickey and insult him. If he was normal we wouldn't, so there you are.

Wales without that Bale period would also have done poorly. All the more reason to build up their academies, train players to be as fit and as tactical as possible. Having the best players gives something to sell. And also gives a good chance in competitions like the Euros and World Cups. |
