Their darkies were better than our darkies, and we had many more of them.
Is that your reasoning on why your beloved Man Utd lose so often now?

So after the request to stop the racism on a football thread, Dan simply can't help himself. What a disgrace.
As for the game, clearly the better team won. Harry Kane wasn't himself during this tournament, was he carrying an injury, changed tactics or just beginning to creak?
It didn't work. Defensively we look OK, but just can't create enough chances, and against the more possession based Spanish side struggled to get hold of the ball.
Positives:
After 50 years of no finals, we've had 2 in 3 years.
We have a deeper squad- players coming off the bench who are capable of changing the game.
We came from behind in each of the knockout games, shows belief.

Pointing out there were black players and how many is a routine part of the reporting as well as who scores and what heritage he is. The papers have been full of it these past three years. Kane was like the proverbial carthorse and Watkins should have started just as Jimmy Greaves was dropped for the 66 final. Not many teams seem able to produce chances and England in the first three games were no different. Kane is an opportunist in a little space but he could never find the space and he could not make it. With the players you have you should be taking the lead and increasing it.

He probably feels they should be the exclusive province of persons of colour and their familiars as was the case in this weekends 'quality Sundays', viz:
The Indo-Irish self-proclaimed Engishman Sunder Katwala, director of the Soros-funded thinktank British Future, as lauded here in The Observer.
and the Welsh-Pakistani Matthew Syed, holding forth in Sunday Times.

I think that the danger of Southgate's outspoken support of "Diversity, equality and inclusion" is that it may get in the way of an unbiased selection of the team. It certainly does in the case of the BBC's choice of presenters (or "customer facing employees") and they employ some bloody awful presenters because of it. Southgate should be "colour blind". The fact that he plainly isn't is a bad sign. I would sack him for that alone. There should be no place for politics in sport.

It gets in the way of advertisers on all channels, it gets in the way of political representatives of all parties, it gets in the way of all aspects of just plain living today. It will only become worse. The myth that diversity is a strengthening and enriching attribute is for the birds. It allows open animus to exist, it encourages division along ethnic/ any other characteristic lines and often creates feelings of unfairness and anger when things are not 'just right' and it allows the troublemakers to obtain power and direction. It has destroyed democratic homogeneity and created sectarian divisions along many lines. In short it is a bloody mess.

The early rounds of the FA Cup are always worth watching for fans of real English football.
In the meantime, there's always the Tour de France. The only darkie among the almost 200 riders has won a couple of easy stages, flat sprints, but is languishing in 111th place in the general classification.
The first black African to win a stage in the Tour, Biniam Girmay (Eritrea) says there should be more black riders in the peloton but since the private company Groupe Amaury which owns the Tour is a far cry from the FA he's not likely to get his wish granted anytime soon.
Thankfully at least one European cultural institution appears safe from incursionists for the foreseeable future.

It is not pretty to watch though is it and yes before it is said Scotland were even worse and less pretty.

Southgate gone, that's the good news. But still some concerning comments coming out of FA Headquarters:
Football Association chief executive Mark Bullingham said "we have an interim solution in place if it is needed" and will not comment further on the process until a new boss is appointed"
Oh gawd, does that mean Eddie Izzard as Caretaker Manager until an Identikit Southgate has passed all the various Wokeness confirmation tests necessary before a new full time appointment can be confirmed ?
