He's from Bury so we have to make allowances. In mitigation he's always slagging off the Glazers so that's all good. if I was good enough at kicking a baw about not even an Arab billionaire could make me want to play football in Manchester. I think even guardiola privately quipped its the dreariest fuckin place he's ever visited never mind lived in his life , and when you see serial whiners like neville and his flat footed brother , you can see why. The first time I ever went abroad from scotland , I visited Lancashire , all the way from my Glaswegian tenement , and by fuck , did I feel like an upper class millionaire with my fried mars bar and bottle of buck fast. When I saw the weather , deprivation and severe poverty , 19 year old grandfathers with their shell suits and cans of vimto , I was reduced to tears. I had never seen an outside toilet before in my life before visiting Manchester. Has it improved somewhat? Yes, it's full of Somalis now. You'd like it.

Discretion being the greater part of valour I'm not expecting to see any further contributions from andrewbrown on this particular theme. Seems you were right.

Two racists arguing about Manchester? Priceless!

Hey Vinny. Instead of parping like Mr Toad why not head over to The Brimelow Question and give it your best shot?

Sounds like the world has got smaller, but you're finding it difficult to cope with this. A smaller world does not mean that everyone else has to come here. Perhaps you could explain why that should be. We were in India for 300 years and got told to piss off, why would it be wrong to reciprocate? For clarity I am not saying we should but why would it be wrong? Dan's issue is not with numbers, nor with migration through FoM. His issue is purely with black people. (And it's interesting how you think that world migration is a UK problem?)

As a great Englishman once said, 'Numbers are of the essence'.
Are you planning to have a tilt at the The Brimelow Question? I suspect not, but I hope to be surprised.

Strange that you don't have an issue with FoM then. You're right, I'm not particularly interested. My observation is that travel has become easier, quicker and cheaper. The more people experience the more people want. I myself would still consider emigrating, in fact was looking at stuff last night. So I'd certainly be a hypocrite if I didn't agree with it. I came on to this thread as I've been following the Euros. Instead I find people counting black players. Pretty much sums up this forum tbh.

Because it is just blacks he has a problem with.
Especially when they're playing for England.

Andrew is right.
No more racist talk on a thread about the Euro’s.
It’s a game of football - and I hope all our lions play a great game this Sunday!

I placed this thread in the Mind Zone on purpose knowing that 'edgy' subject matter would arise.
Rather than censoring it, as your remarks imply will be the case, why not start one of your own in the Member's Bar say, where you can confine commentary within your personal comfort zone?

The mind zone is not for 'edgy' conversation. The title is Euro's. I've been pretty restrained up until now, but the jibes between members is not allowed here, nor are we having a misleading title of a football competition be used to subversively be used to inject a conversation about racism or immigration. There are plenty of threads on that, if that's what you want, use one of those.

Vinny and serial reporter andrewbrown have both joined the other forum to 'get away' from threads/posters like this, but they still pop back on here with their rudimentary one-liners complaining about threads/posters.
If they're not complaining about the brash posting of Jonsky, their complaining about a controversially considered point of view from Dan. I don't really share Dan's obsession and note-taking about nation-state sponsorships
and counting the amount of black people on a football pitch. For me personally, that isn't what football is about. Football is a sport to enjoy, it also allows one to escape the day to day grind of life.
I'm not particularly interested in this thread, so I have posted very little to it. You may not agree with Dan's view, if you don't and you want to contribute to the thread rebut his views and opinions intellectually (which is what I thought the MindZone
was about) rather than complaining all the time and trying to get alternate views censored. Just stay on that forum where censorship of such views is stymied by the virtuous moral guardians of debate.
I agree the thread title is misleading.
The only post I have enjoyed reading in this thread was from little TommySNAT about his experience of visiting Manchester once.

Can I just point out that if you are not interested in the subject of a thread then it's quite easy just to not contribute to that thread - posting whinges about the subject under discussion achieves nothing except for stroking your own ego.
If you are not interested ignore - it's quite simple.

A good article on the BBC about Southgate who’s gone from zero after the Slovenia game to hero after beating the Dutch. Football is certain a fickle game, but what I’ve never liked is hearing our own fans boo their own team. I’m glad Southgate has turned it around, the players looked far more comfortable last game. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cpe3ldq534yo#comments
