Well Judaism states the Jews are the "chosen of God" which is the fundamental reason Israel lies to everyone, even those it claims as friends. If you are not Jewish you are worthy of only two things: exploitation and contempt. Far more pernicious that being proselyting in the way Christianity was, and Islam is. But I stand by my position, three rotten fruits from the same rotten tree. All Jews think they are special and look out for each other .So what? It would also be the case the other way around - any proposal for a Palestinian state that involved say moving (say) ten million Chinese people in and thereby making the Palestinians a minority in that territory, isn't really a proposal for a Palestinian state |

Well, maybe they have refused them because all of those agreement allow Israel to maintain the illegal settlements in the West Bank. Of the two current. recognised Governments in this conflict only one has accepted in principle the need for a 2SS - and it wasn't Israel. Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arrafat agreed the Oslo Accords. Hamas rejected them, as did the Far Right of Israeli Politics. The Accords were strained by the Cave of Patriarchs Massacre (carried out by Baruch Goldstein with 29 Palestinians killed and 125 injured) and Hamas suicide attacks. The Accords were effectively killed off by the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin by an extremist Right-Wing Israeli; who had been present at speeches given by Benjamin Netanyahu declaring Rabin a traitor. Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel's (extreme-extreme far right) Minister of National Security not only claimed, on Israeli national TV, after vandalising Rabin's car that " we got to his car, we'll get to him as well" he also used to have a portrait of Goldstein on his wall, and has been found by Israeli Courts of being guilty of supporting a racist terror organisation. Does any of this sound like an Israeli government interested in peace? We know Hamas don't want peace, and we all rightly lambaste them for that. Some people here turn a blind eye to the fact that the current Israeli regime has no desire for peace either. And I am lambasted for simply pointing that out. Why? I don't want Israel destroyed. I want Israel to accept a road-map to a lasting peace, and that can ONLY come about with a 2SS. I want Israel properly held accountable for its actions - especially those actions that are clear violations of the Geneva Conventions, that Israel CHOSE to sign up to. I'd love to see Hamas destroyed; and the Palestinian National Authority to form a unified Palestine / Gaza Government - but Israel blocks that. All The Best |
