China is the worst culprit for pumping shit into our oceans and atmosphere... Those car batteries you guys harped on about for 50 pages cos they generate massive waste is now irrelevant. China has facilities where the manufacturer recycles 99%.
You really don't get how China works. It is the culture that believes very highly in education and always has done, even thousands of years ago. That's the trick. The kids work very hard at school. The reason so many wear glasses is because they read so much. It would blow you away to see how smart thee young kids are, and they are often bilingual at an early age. However the master strategy involves producing millions of STEM graduates and they are inventing technology all the time. This is what gives them the power. Sooner or later you will be forced to see it. They will get so far ahead that the US will fall into ruin. For example, look at South America. 20 years ago nearly every region had more US firms than Chinese. Now it is the complete opposite way around with about 95% of the land with more Chinese. And that is in the US' on back yard as they call it. Over in Africa it is a similar story.
Total Chinese bots bullshit bvl.

As i pointed out above, my experience with the Chinese playboy that bought my employer so he could source genuine trim parts to fit to his tractor powered land-rover knockoffs was that his laminated wood products made in the province next to Wuhan and shipped here, where he pretended they were made in Abergavenny, to the point of affixing barcodes with a fraudulent country of origin label, was that the items were so poorly made that Volvo and JLR cancelled the contract with us, and threatened to cancel our metal trim parts supply contracts Chinese made crap nearly sank the company. Why should it nearly sink your company? Surely you have come across the principle of caveat emptor? We businessmen employ it all the time we are working.
The thing is I regularly shop in China and indeed some shopping of mine just flew into Blighty last night, so I know what the products are like and I say they are nearly always between satisfactory and higher. This current order is because I did not go to B and Q where instead of paying 15 quid I would have paid 53 for the same things, so again it is your responsibility to check the deal.
Simply out, Baron, the world - at least the world of the automotive supply chain - revolves around just in time delivery and a single batch of substandard product can stop a production line The fact the company argued at international level to provide what were supposed to be high quality subcomponents that turned out on inspection at the end client goods inwards to be utter crap caused the company to be put on special measures, forced to pay for end client inspectors to open every box, and inspect every part, and continue to suffer that expense until THEY were satisfied the parts were being produced to standard As the chinese twats were simply not producing the goods to the required quality and had no intention of doing so we chose in the end to abandon that line before the costs of having every metal part inspected on delivery bankrupted us The problem was nothing to do with our home based manufacturing which was produced to exacting standards against designs and manufacturing processes signed off by chartered engineers, but was the direct consequence of a chinese car part maker who didn’t give a flying fuck about the product quality

Sure there are a few manufacturers and suppliers that look a bit dodgy, but you put the research in to find good ones. Maybe I've just got that intuition, but the firms I buy off are very scrupulous indeed, and this is the normal way they work there. They have attention to detail. I just got that order delivered a moment ago and it is all manufactured to quality that you can't fault no matter how picky you are. In Blighty we are normally sold cheap plastic hose connectors. These are nice chunky solid brass. So again I'm thinking good job to the Chinese who sent it. When i used to buy shit form B and Q the most annoying thing about it was you'd go over there and the bastards would be out of stock, and even if you asked them when will it be in you get a dumb look and directed to another dumb person until you give up. It is only when the buyer fucks them off will they learn. Saving shit firms with protectionist practices is a recipe for failure. By the way, I just checked this tariffs situation regarding UK cars. Garner Consultants say they expect the difference in tariffs between the UK and EU will benefit us as I was explaining above. See, they agree with my view. That's nice to know.

We cannot afford the levels of subsidy that the Chinese Government are pumping into their manufacturers. Our country does not own any mass produced car manufacturers. Why do you support Indian firms over Chinese firms? This is what socialists do. They fight the market and right now the Brits are taking a shine to Chinese EVs. Look in simple terms what goes on in the world is each day China generates $2billion dollars of surplus cash and the US borrows $2 billion. If we let the market run its course then our shity Indian manufacturers will go bust and the factories will be sold to successful firms like BYD and Geeley. This in turn will increase UK car production. We will profit out of it in a big way. It helps bring prices down and the cost of living. Even if you don't own a car, the reducing cost of transport would make things like delivery cheaper. I really can't believe how socialist you are! I support any foreign firm that wishes to employ British workers and pay taxes in the UK - I do not support foreign companies who wish to dump their subsidised goods on the market to drive out UK producers.

The Japanese Car Manufactures are scaling back on electric cars due to slow demand for them , they are now designing smaller better conventional engines Indeed TATA is Indian owned and run

The point is if you are decent towards the Chinese and let them sell their goods in the UK they will put investment in the UK and no doubt set up factories, warehouses, dealerships, and so on. This is what they are planning to do anyway, so only an utter dick would spoil it for us. They are pulling investment out of the US and they will pull investment out of the EU as a result of the EU taking US orders, which leave us, and we could stand out as a success story. We have to partner with some foreign manufacturers, so we will do very well if we partner with the best. The Japs were pretty good but China is undercutting them now. China has 600kw charger systems as well. We need 600kw charger systems.
These guys have gone into partnership with Geeley, and as you can see they have built a new factory and are creating tons of top jobs.

If his plant’s output was up to spec he might have got the contract It wasn’t, and he didn’t, because his product was a low quality ripoff of the genuine article, which is why his cars can sell in china where they don’t care if it’s a ripoff, and can’t be sold here because we do

I am guessing he was second generation, i.e. his dad made the money and he was brought up racing around sports cars like Arabs do. One of those types was an investor in BritishVolt, as per the majority bar a few quid of the shares. He had no idea what he was investing in and eventually someone told him and he pulled out. Anyway, I see thousands of Chinese factories advertising their products and the vast majority will do you a good job. It's all 5/5 on the customer reviews. You do see a vast difference with British firms where I see many dissatisfied customers. Some of it might just be their own fault, but you can tell things aint right. Our retailers will punt any old crap. In China you find it is very much a case of you get what you pay for. If you want high quality then stump up the cash and you can normally get it. They just have so many firms in the market that there is something that will closely fit everyone's requirements at a good price, and that is the game.
The Brits have got to be a lot more sharp when it comes to assessing product quality and then they have got to stop complaining. If they buy the right product in the first place they won't have a problem. Partly the reason our firms punt so much crap is they get away with it. People buy it regardless. In China you get the impression the market is more intelligent. Over here they are always trying to scam you. For example, one retailer advertised only £3 postage and then the wankers went ahead and charged me £3 for every item on the order. It's that kind of thing that is below the belt. If you had any sense you would never touch that firm ever again.

How many Chinese car factories are in the UK creating employment and paying taxes?

So 1 factory producing a miniscule number of cars - yes that is worth sacrificing the UK auto sector for... It's going to go anyway. It went in the 80s and has been going ever since, the only car actually produced in the UK these days is Japanese I believe and otherwise it is just minor parts for foreign manufacturers. So saying it is going anyway, its a bit late for that at best.

So saying it is going anyway, its a bit late for that at best. While all our other car manufacturers face extinction, Lotus is expanding fast, as you can see if you can be bothered to watch the video and have a look around their factory. It's nice to see engineering manufacturing jobs being created on such a large scale. This is the result of working together. 50% Chinese and 50% British, which can be a killer combination as they say. We have long experiences in motor cars and the Chinese have strong technology, so put the two together and we find the cars are selling like hotcakes. They had better keep Duncan-Smith away from that factory!
