And there is a distinct difference of being what is perceived by one to another as being offensive. Oh dear, more links to the Nationalist and the Guardian, I am struggling to summon up an answer to your incoherent post, but I will take advantage of the opportunity to mention that the Prime Minister may give JK Rowling a Damehood in recognition of her admirable actions.

I see that Polis Scotland have announced that no non crime hate actions have been raised against JK Rowling or the first minister, also the chief of Polis Scotland has apologised to Murdo Fraser and withdrawn the non crime hate report lodged against his name.
They have completely caved in and backtracked on everything they said last week. What a banana republic Scotland has become under these idiots. However it is worth noting that Labour supported this ugly piece of legislation.

Perhaps a more cogent question would be to ask why Scotland still needs its own legal system after more than three centuries in the Union? What is the practical benefit and what is the incremental cost? Well, the real question is how much it would cost to bring Scottish and English law into full alignment, and the answer is probably an extremely large amount of money. Just imagine the cost of changing Scotland's conveyancing system to be the same as England's for example. Yes, it would be easier for English and Welsh people to navigate the Scottish housing market if their system was changed, but you'd have to retrain all the Scottish conveyancing solicitors and change all the associated systems. Is that really worth it? And that's just one tiny example, involving one of the least controversial and most mundane bits of law. It think this is a case of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." |
