The only cry babies are the Labour Party who pressured the Speaker into allowing them to hijack the proceedings because they didn't want to allow a free vote. The Speaker accepts he made a mistake in allowing himself to be pressured into helping the Labour Party and that was the "wrong decision" one minute you say he persuaded him know you say he pressured him. There is a vast deference In definition of the 2. Like I said the leader of the commons was a nice caring man and would not pursue a vote of No confidence .that in its self tells you he didn't take much yi persuad him He said he made the decision because he didn't want to receive a phone call saying one of his friends had been killed. Who wouldn't make the same decision about there friends. Has well has the snp being cry babies it seems so are you. And if that the Attitude of so called teal Conservatives God help us.l Where is the evidence that Muslims are targeting Labour MP's? - all we have currently is Starmers word and we all know what that is worth..

I think Peter Oborne makes a valid point here - what evidence does Starmer actually have that his MP's are being threatened with violence?. If he has evidence has he involved the Police as threats to an MP would be a crime - and if he doesn't have any evidence where did he get this claim from?. Or was the whole thing invented simply to spare Starmer from embarrassment? "Remarks by House of Commons speaker and Labour leader Keir Starmer have led to an explosion of Islamophobic hatred against Muslims protesting against Israel's war on Gaza"
Complete untrue I Google your high lighteded quote and it says that that reaction the state ment of them on the right Claiming it was Muslims threating labour MPs that caused Islamic Hatred I'm sure you read the article why have you pushed such a lie and Bias view . This is a quote from that article what says where the threat come from. Like I've said all the time and there more in the article saying the same. The Speaker, however, did not explain exactly who it was that threatened the safety of Labour MPs - but nobody at Westminster was in any doubt who he was referring to: Muslims. A media storm As night follows day, the British media supported these claims. Alicia Fitzgerald, a political reporter, fuelled the sense of panic on Talk TV when she said she’d been talking to Labour MPs, particularly women, who were "absolutely terrified" of leaving the Commons in the face of a pro-Palestinian "mob" outside. He added: "We have crossed a line now. We are not a properly functioning democracy if this is a factor in how our elected representatives act."

Have you actually read the article pacifico highlighted From Middle East eye? Starmer and Hoyle have implied labour mps were under threat from muslims , and as yet have produced no evidence to back this up. The article is ridiculing their claim . Sorry I dont understand what your point is?

Exactly what part of the article do you believe is untrue? Your highlighted Claim Remarks by House of Commons speaker and Labour leader Keir Starmer have led to an explosion of Islamophobic hatred against Muslims protesting against Israel's war on Gaza" Are you suggesting there has not been an increase in Islamophobic hatred since the deal between Starmer and Hoyle?
