33 people have signed motions of no confidence
It certainly seems a stitch up probably engineered on both sides by members in receipt of donations from the Friends Of Israel

Well TTL I favour a ceasefire but what Hoyle has done is betray his position and Steamer has proved to be what I thought all along.

He was a fool to allow himself to be pressured by Starmer, but he was big enough to make a full apology to the house, who knows whether this will be enough. Time will tell I suppose.
I voted no.

Laugh all you like. The chair of the 1922 committee is one of them. At best the Speaker has violated Parliamentary Protocol. You may recall a chap formerly known as Anthony Wedgewood Benn. Not exactly a champion of the right. But were he in the chamber today he would be calling for the hangman…..

Yes he should resign, and if it is true about Starmer then so should he.
We cannot have politicians bowing down to mobs.
If Labour MPs are so scared of certain parts of their supporters, then they need to call them out and distance themselves from them!
BTW he is my MP, and it pisses me off because I do not get a vote at the GE.

Hoyle is the fall guy but he could have said no but showed a weakness . They should both be marched from the building .

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't hoyle upto his knees in shit over labour once before? Maybe it was partygate or the gray scandal but I sure this isn't the first time that hoyle has shown his true colours.
EDIT........OK Found it........Can the speaker punish Boris Johnson? Commons rules as Lindsay Hoyle rebukes PM

The easy answer to whether he should resign is to look at what the response would have been if the boot had been on the other foot and he had collaborated with the Tories to avoid political embarrassment at the vote for them. I suspect the outcry would have been deafening.
