GDP/head is a much better indicator than GDP itself as the latter is strongly influenced by population growth, including from immigration. Indeed, immigration has probably added around 16% to UK GDP since the late 1980s - around 0.5%pa.

I know little know we had more Concertive Government The miscalculation labour made in 2004 is starkly revealed in the guardian article above. It's actually quite frightening how unfit for government , and how badly they misjudged the ten new countries joining the eu , and the predictions of a mere 13 000 migrants per annum coming to the uk . Instead , immigration quadrupled , with millions coming under new labour. what a topic for you to bring up , and what a hill to die on . Labours Achilles heel of immigration. Oh yeah what the did thev righr wing I think Cameron say oh that's it we cut immigration down to 50.000 and the Brexit campaign say we control our boarder and have less immigration. Lol we had the highest immigration since |

We know all about the failures of the tory government regarding immigration.
