I point the finger of blame far more at the Bank of England than the government on recession, says Nigel Farage....

I blame everyone except me.
Anyway, where would the UK be without a recession ?
There are no homes, inflation is at 100% and now that we have eaten each other we will all die of want.
The only question that remains is, if unemployment is so bad, why can't I get some sod to put up my fence ?

It's COV-ID, so many lost jobs, most working yet now on 20-30% less, seems only train drivers getting more Tongue in cheek yet so many pubs and food places have closed with no replacements, taxi drivers charging more. On a more serious note who is earning more than before COV-ID, I ask, as we keep being told about wage growth inflation??

But once my fence is up I want new guttering.
And a bit of plastering.
So if there is so much unemployment, how come I am spending half my life on the phone trying to hire builders ?

I live in London suburbs and see vans driving around, builders, fencing and gutters so perhaps a regional thing? We needed someone to sort out the drainage and got one in 24 hours and had the problem sorted in about 55 mins and cost £100.

fack borkie, im no a builder , but if I lived closer , I would stick yer fence up and do your gutter . I draw a line at plastering though . Is our old friend `streetwalker` not close enough to you ? Plenty builders about , they just dont want the little jobs though.

What's the betting in a couple of months there will be a backtracking, that they miscalculated and it's actually zero or +0.1%. It's happened a few times.

Don't know anyone can suggest were out of recession after buoyant January sales Especially when it driven by a drop in petrol prices. Let's see what happens when the quarterly figers come in

But the Bank said it was waiting for further evidence in areas such as wage growth and the number of job vacancies to show that inflation - which measures the Thats why they haven't made a official notice the recession is over . It's not over until. They say so vinny
