Well played by England. They got a monkey off their back as they have been losing a lot lately.
However, just think about it as the competition expands from 32 to 48 teams but only three more spots for Europe it means there will be a lot more teams like Qatar.

Europe will still be over represented but at least poor old Italy might be able to qualify for the first time since 2014.

No Europe and South America will still be under represented when you look at who dominates the top 48 teams in the World

Well I suppose if you want to be elitist about it they could restrict it to the 8 teams from just two continents who have ever lifted the cup. Or maybe just give up and accept that Brazil are the best ever team with their 5 wins and let them keep the replacement trophy to add to the other one they got to keep forever (until it was stolen and never seen again in 1986).

Or you could just read what I actually posted and not allude to a ridiculous exaggeration of it 32 of the top 48 teams in the World are from Europe or South America yet they only get 17.5 places for WC 2026. It stinks

I guess that's why it's called the World Cup and not the Copa America or the Euros.

No love for Jerusalem? Or dear old Vera singing there'll always be an England?
