Without this world cup we would know a lot less about the situation in Qatar. What other countries are like Qatar? UAE? Isn't Kuwait also a country where foreign slaves do all the work while the rich sheiks swim in luxury? Nominal GDP per capita at the level of Switzerland but the vast majority of the population being foreign workers and living in squalor. Those foreign workers go to Qatar (and the other Middle East nations) to give their families a better life. They dont have to go but if they stayed at home they would be much worse off.

You do know that lots of those cross the chaneloss the channele who keep turning up in dinghies uninvited come from places like Qatar, don't you, Doc? You lot call the footballers who are standing up for gay rights in those places woke, then whinge when their gay citizens have to flee over here. If you want to stop the dinghies, stop supporting the regimes responsible for them. oh dont talk bollocks - no Qatari is going to get in a dinghy and turn up here.. Qatar is one of the richest countries on the planet. Fool. Dont think them coming acroos on dingys are the poor econmic migrants has the right and msm make out how could they afford at least 4, 000 pound just to cross the chanel. ive met a few at church and has a charity worker housing the homeless and they seem to be from middle class backgrounds

So why are they coming to Church?
Seems an anomaly in religious beliefs and practices…

Bizarre speech from the FIFA president calling on everyone to stop talking about the discrimination in Qatar. He went on to claim he understands the plight of gays in the crackpot nation as he was discriminated at his private school for having red hair and freckles. Infantino is taking a firm grip on Mammon's dick and deepthroating it way past his tonsils. After this World Cup FIFA needs to be disbanded and a new, accountable organisation put in its place to oversee the beautiful game. After Europe has apologised for 3000 years of discrimination obviously...

Everyone is saying that Qatar should never have been awarded the World Cup, but it occurs to me that some good may come out of it. It means that a lot of people who would never normally go to a muslim country will find out what it's like there - and it will be a huge culture shock. It may make them think twice about our policy of allowing massive muslim immigration - on course to make Islam the majority religion in the UK by 2050 or thereabouts (including their high rate of breeding).

Well the waiting is over and the games have begun. Qatar are losing 2-0 so it seems they are unable to buy a win unlike their purchase of FIFA and their team.

If you could go to the World Cup in Qatar, would you go, considering the issues around human rights? No.

I very much doubt any good will come of it. It 'should' shine a global spotlight on the realities of life in an Islamic state, but it wont. The left wing MSM, see Lineker and the BBC, will likely use it as an opportunity to criticise none Muslims for not respecting the Islamic way of life, they will of course completely gloss over the fact that homosexuality is against the law and minorities are openly persecuted which is pretty much the norm in any Islamic shit tip. We all know this to be true but wouldn't dare say it in public (without checking over your shoulder first) perish the thought some weak spineless woke warrior should overhear and start shouting the word of our epoch, the word that is used to silence discussion, the word that is used as a politically correct cosh. ' Racist'.

The BBC have been very vocal about the abuse of minorities and the appalling conditions endured by the immigrant workers who died in their thousands building the stadiums. They have been very dismissive of FIFA president Gianni Infantino's call for the silencing of opposition to the Qatari authorities describing it as bizarre. They have hosted multiple radio phone ins of the subject and brought up the subject on Question Time. As have multiple other media outlets.

If you could go to the World Cup in Qatar, would you go, considering the issues around human rights? No. I stopped watching much football with any interest since the start of the Premier league. The whole thing is a general farce where local teams effectively do not exist. Money is the driver of any team and fans are ripped off at every opportunity. This Qatari thing is just an extension of money speaking, hypocrisy, corruption and the usual vomit inducing antics. I only hope rugby does not go too far down the same lines. Football fans deserve better but until they stop allowing themselves to be taken advantage of then it will continue.

British football, or topflight British football is full of foreign players, foreign managers and foreign money. In fact, it's foreign owned. The woke FA are just as big a disgrace as FIFA, football must be the most corrupt sport in the world. I mean Qatar? lol.

They are indeed they will not hire or interview those with whom they violently disagree caring little as to what their public wish to here or see. They will however criticise Qatar but involve themselves in all the razzamatazz that the festival brings. If their 'principles' mean anything they would ignore the World Cup but they will not and the rest of us will find alternative programming severely restricted.
