The US are organised but they're not pressing. England's pedestrian passing is happening in front of them.
They need to shift the ball from side to side quicker to stretch the block.

England came up against a half-decent team and had no plan or idea how to beat them.
England were stuck in their top gear which was chugging along in second for 90 minutes. Disappointing.

Yes, poor from England. So long as we avoid a 4-0 defeat to Wales we will still go through though.

Cannot afford to go but would not go, I will not be watching any of the games. FIFA are a corrupt organisation and whilst Qatar is perfectly within its rights to make and interpret their laws as the wish, they are a corrupt and oppressive state. England should have boycotted it. Well fucking said.

Really? They are perfectly within their rights to subjugate women, imprison or worse homosexuals and commit human rights offences against other minorities including making immigrant workers toil in dangerous temperatures and conditions leading to thousands of unnecessary deaths? I disagree strongly. That's akin to saying the Nazis were within their rights to open concentration camps and work Jews and others to death.

I dont think the Jews and others voluntarily went to the concentration camps - nobody is forced to go and work in Qatar.

So it's all right to commit human rights offences so long as the victims volunteered in the first place? You are not the first to say that here. I think some of the attitudes in this thread say more about the prejudices of those expressing them than the actual issues themselves. Perhaps exhibiting their desire to treat women, gays and immigrants in the same way in this country.

Great victory for Australia. Showing the same fortitude defending their one goal lead against an onslaught from the North Africans as their fellow Australians did holding Tobruk against Rommel's Axis forces. God save the King.

I used to cheer for any European team against any non-European team.
Not any more. If it is for example Argentina vs France I'm definitely for the Argies.
Similarly, if Russians are ever allowed back I can't imagine cheering for them whoever they play against.

Everyone who goes to work in the Middle East know what the place is like - but...they still go for the money. If they are not bothered why is anyone else?

The Denmark v France Game was European Game at its Best France looking good still. A real force to reckon with. I wanted Denmark to win really but I'll settle for Mexico beating Argentina in the next game. Another loss and they could join Saudi Arabia as exiting after just two games.
