In the wake of the Oct 7th attacks on Israel by Hamas the German President has called for German muslims to stand up and pledge loyalty: " Don't let yourselves be instrumentalized by Hamas! Speak up for yourselves! Say no to terror!" Germany is experiencing the same problems as we are with pro-Palestianism which has morphed into outright anti-Semitism and their President has chosen to call on the muslims to reject anti-Semitism. Good for him. It's a pity Sunak is so quiet on the subject. Mishal Hussein was getting quite areated about this on "Today" this morning. She doesn't think it's right that muslims should be called on to reject anti-Semitism when "it's nothing to do with muslims". Of course nobody dared to contradict her, but in my experience muslims are highly correlated with anti-Semitic views and I'd like Sunak to stand up and call for a similar loyalty pledge in the case of British muslims. It's about time that people like Mishal Hussein - who, like it or not, is a spokesperson for muslims, recognised the fact that anti-Semitism is promoted by our muslim communities. She can't just deny that it's anything to do with her religion.

Any extremists would just use Taqiya and falsely pledge loyalty to eliminate suspicion.

Fine. But we don't even hear "false words of reassurance" from the muslim community. Just the usual "Nothing to do with us guv".

My understanding is that the Mind Zone is intended to be factually accurate yet the title of this thread is complete nonsense.

I am English and therefore one of God's Chosen People, but if asked for a loyalty pledge I would tell the asker to fuck off

But given the 'easy ride' with the majority of British Muslims, I can't see an awful lot of room for complaint.

It does lead to a wider conversation on identity.
The majority left/middle is pushing self-hate of our history, and peddling victimhood, whilst saying pride in ones nation makes you a Nazi.
The growing Muslims population is going to bring back problems of the past, where large numbers of people identify by religion, not by nationality.
Personally, I think we need to bring back national service pronto, and use that and other methods to try to build back up a sense of national identity.
If we do nothing, we will continue to divide ourselves, and become weaker and weaker... and history has shown what happens then... the once great civilisation collapses and is conquered.
