Extremely bad move if they do. Said the same about the BNP lot over here, I dont agree with them as a party , but I defend their right to stand and debate their policies , and let the electorate be the judge. sounds like Olaf Scholz , the silent chancellor and American stooge , is panicking . What a mess Germany is in at the minute. |

You know what I think the problem for the EU is here is that Brexit did not really go as badly wrong as was hoped. There was talk of the pound crashing, but the pound has managed OK. Sure our economy is fucked, but not as badly as Germany. The two more pronounced effects on the Brit economy came from covid and the war with its sanctions on energy supplies. It's bad for us for sure, but in Germany they are heavily relying on manufacturing, which uses a lot of energy. Also mixed in is the trouble their car industry faces. It was a hot seller for sure when ICE cars were the thing, but the world is moving to electric fast and they don't own that market, the Chinese do. The demise of their car market will really impoverish them. I don't think they could ban a number two party just like that. It would make it even more popular. |

Still, it is interesting and going by how Orwellian the climate is I can see them banning democracy before allowing the people to decide against them, and then claim they're protecting democracy from the bad people. |
