Excellent, just what we need right now don't you think. We just got through covid, the government are £trillions in debt, we are being invaded from the EU state of France, eco mentalists want us to go back to the stone age, Putin's war is destabilising the global economy, and left wing trade unions want everyone out on strike.
What you don't understand is, this is not good for Labour. The majority of people in this country just want to get to work, if left wing unions and left wing eco mentalists stop people getting to work, do you think it will endear them to support Labour?

Well the left wing union cant impose a strike without there members voting for it and a vast majority of them balloted voted for strike Action. To avoid strike action its up to the employers to offer a resable pay offer so the strike action isn't down to the unions.
And support of the public it seems inconclusive with reports stating they support strike action and some saying they don't.
With strikes stop the public from supporting labour I hope not.
But think sir keir stammer realises that it could effect the public support thats why he said he doesn't want Labour mps going on pickit lines.
And is willing to take Action if they do.
I think the rail strike as been called off because the union has accept a pay over

None of them deserve a pay rise - especially the rail workers. They're lucky to still have a job. As for the nurses they shouldn't be allowed to strike. If they don't like the pay/conditions they can leave - that's all, No right to strike. In any case their average pay is now £37,000, plus they also get pensions that the private sector can only dream about. That's GOOD remuneration.

The Winter of Discontent started weeks ago, as Red has pointed out the UK is deeply in debt after Covid, the Economy is struggling, but on this I don't agree with Red on is " The Government is in debt" IMO " The Taxpayers are in serious debt" we they are paying the bills the Government has no money it's our money they spend.
I have thought from the beginning these strikes are being organised to bring down the Government, if Labour were in power would they go on strike? perhaps I doubt it.
If one just takes the Nurses strike, I think they deserve and need a pay rise, but so do many other workers but not now, getting our economy up a running again should be the first priority so we can get into a position to pay off our huge debts and give workers reasonable pay rise within our means.
And independent body suggested a 5% pay raise for Nurses, that would cost the taxpayers £10 billion a year, the NHS wages bill already cost us £56 billion a year, a 100 thousand Civil Servants are now going to go strike, how much will that cost the taxpayers, where is the money going to come from?
If the strikes do bring down the Government and Labour are put in power, would it change the economic position we and many other countries are in due to Covid and Putin, IMO No Labour would do as they always do put up taxes across the board, which has never worked and never will

God, I remember Kim Howells organising the ones that killed to stop blacklegs, and being found shredding papers faster than ENRON when the police finally bothered to come for him

Many of you point out that the Government can't afford a pay rise didn't you notice that private sector workers are also going on strike. Because of pay and work conditions.
Has for the Government can't pay because of the financial condition because of covid and the war . Lets not forget the elephant the room Brexit that has some bearing on the financial problems.
Energy and food prices were going up before covid and the war

We have an ineffective and seemingly hamstrung police service, open borders, a plethora of unhappy minorities and an MSM that has moved almost in total to an established position. Energy and food prices are going up because of deliberate policies on the part of our government by not seeking independence of energy and seeking as much self sufficiency in food as possible as well as all the 'green' policies' that make modern life much more difficult.
