There are, and have been many Jewish Labour MPs who support the right of Israel to exist, but who also criticise Israel on its treatment of Palestinians. Complains about anti-Semitic "Smears" while bitching about Israel.  Complaining about the crimes of the Apartheid state of Israel isn't antisemitic,only in your Orwellian World. Did you ever complain about the 1400 years of an apartheid state the Jews lived under in Palestine? Israel has nearly 1.4 million Arab non-Jews living inside Israel. The false claim of apartheid, used by people who are prepared to ignore reality and just want to attack Israel, is based upon the fact that People living in Israel proper who have served in the military get some privileges' that those who have not served in the military do not get. There are Arabs who have done military service and who get the privileges. |

I hate to add some realism into this, but do you honestly think the majority of this country even care about Israel or antisemitism enough for it be an election issue?
Corbyn didn't win because:
1) He sat on the fence about Brexit (despite him being massively anti-EU).
2) His spending plans escalated to a ridiculous level.
3) His own MPs wanted him out, and a divided party doesn't win elections.
I could probably write another 100 reasons before we got to Israel lol.

They are largely kept in camps and not allowed to seek to live in many of the lands to which they have sought refuge. If we had kept the Ugandan refugees in camps pending a right of return we would be taken to task by the UN. If we tried to keep current refugees in camps we would be at odds with the law and the left would be up in arms at our inhumanity. Yet in order to keep the whole pot boiling refugees from Palestine are kept in general Limbo as their numbers increase and the anger mounts. Looking at it dispassionately one suspects that if Israel was an Arab nation then no one would be batting an eyelid if exactly the same things were being done. It is the fact that it is Jews in control that seems to grate with many most especially the Arabs and the left. |
