I remember the Sharon Storer incidence well. Blair was at the Hospital for the opening of a new Cardiac center, "equal to anything in Europe" which was part of Blair's rescuing program for the NHS. Sharon Storer made a complaint about the state of the cancer ward, the reality was that the cancer ward was inherited from the Tories, and Storer, as it turned out, was a Tory voter. A complete political bias was revealed when the media made Storer the centre of the news and failed to even show the new Cardiac Centre. Your unevidenced opinion? Maria Hutchings, 43, a housewife, said she was acting as the "forgotten voice of Middle England" when she marched up to the Prime Minister during a live studio discussion on channel Five television yesterday to protest at the closure of special-needs schools.
After listening to Mr Blair saying it was important to maintain school discipline, she could contain her irritation no longer, and shouted: "Tony, that's rubbish!" The presenter, Matthew Wright, had to urge her to sit down, saying: "Hang on, hang on, hang on - if you wouldn't mind sitting down."
Mrs Hutchings, a Labour supporter, who has canvassed for the party, was visibly agitated as she pleaded with Mr Blair: "Please, let me speak to you." She was persuaded to return to her seat by a studio assistant during the live broadcast of The Wright Stuff.

Who could forget the way Blair allowed the hate campaign against Elizabeth Filkin by sleazy Keith Vaz and then sacked her, instead of sleazy Vaz!!! www.theguardian.com/uk/2001/nov/26/houseofcommons.politics2Vaz was involved in several more sleaze scandals before finally being suspended and stood down in 2019. The serious and obvious bias of that outlet you posted, is the very last thing anyone anywhere needs in the present climate. From that outlet, --"In Britain, a row has erupted between the government and the BBC, which first reported the "sexing up" of intelligence data. Andrew Gilligan of the BBC’s Today programme, was the offending journalist who pointed out that the emperor had no clothes left."-- IIRC, Gilligan started his claim on Radio 4 morning program. His opening comment was a lie. He said his informant was 'a member of the intelligence', it turned out to be Dr. David Kelly who was a Weapons Inspector. Gilligan never repeated his earliest comment. That there was no sexing up of information was proven by a later Inquiry. It was a wasted accusation anyway because the information referred to was quite quickly revealed by the Intelligence Agency to be "single sourced" and was not used as reliable intelligence. |
