Your post does not excuse the obvious bias of the media in making Blair's visit to the opening of a new Cardiac Center into an out of context whinge by Sharron Storer with her complaint about the state of the cancer ward that Blair inherited from the Tories she voted for. The serious and obvious bias of that outlet you posted, is the very last thing anyone anywhere needs in the present climate. From that outlet, --"In Britain, a row has erupted between the government and the BBC, which first reported the "sexing up" of intelligence data. Andrew Gilligan of the BBC’s Today programme, was the offending journalist who pointed out that the emperor had no clothes left."-- IIRC, Gilligan started his claim on Radio 4 morning program. His opening comment was a lie. He said his informant was 'a member of the intelligence', it turned out to be Dr. David Kelly who was a Weapons Inspector. Gilligan never repeated his earliest comment. That there was no sexing up of information was proven by a later Inquiry. It was a wasted accusation anyway because the information referred to was quite quickly revealed by the Intelligence Agency to be "single sourced" and was not used as reliable intelligence.
