The Fundamental Interest of the English People

Can't imagine why you don't just trot out the "14 words" and save yourself some time.

Funny - because I've lost count of how often I heard your lot bang on about how "British people" can be of any background, while "English" are supposedly "white".

Well, apart from Wally's obligatory sneer, the proposition hasn't drawn much dissent.

We have been told by the Scots and Welsh that UK is nit a single country but a union of four .
We should note this and react accordingly.
The English do have a history and a character of their own .
We have the character of Londoners, Liverpudlians, tykes , Geordies , monkey hangers and tractor boys .
We should embrace it .
A work colleague from Jamaica told me that when he went home the locals knew he was from England even before he opened his mouth .
He told me that he considered himself a Londoner above all .
We agreed that black Jamaican men from London were like white men from London .
We worked , we drank beer, we shagged women.
I can’t accept that he is not English.

Reminds me of a black character on “ Til death do us part” played by Kenny Lynch .
He complained that before the other blacks came here he was the ‘ token spade ‘ that everyone loved but now he’s just one of them .

I admire your tenacity on this subject, Dan, but I have given up on stating my opinion or trying to support the right to existence of my people. We live in a strange world where some people are expected to attack their own kind and if they do not then they will be attacked, abused, ridiculed, bullied and lied about until they give up flogging a dead horse. Unless the horse, by some miracle of self defence, comes back to life, we are doomed as far as stating the facts of our existence, our history and our rights to these is concerned. The world is full of incredibly odd people, drugged to the eyeballs on all sorts of substances and spoiled rotten by the ease of modern life. They can no longer think, let alone think for themselves. Add to that a tendency to cling to religion whilst simultaneously behaving as though there were no scary desert deities who might throw them into lakes of fire if they move a whisker out of the establishment dogma. They still fear retribution of some kind. It obsesses them. They are a strange combination of gung-ho and moral outrage, wrapped in narcissism and decorated with artificial love tokens. I don't know what is going to happen to them. They have travelled so far from themselves that they might not get back to sanity.

I am no longer young and so my approaching death concerns me more than what some idiot with a bum full of glue and a can of red paint is going to do about climate change or any other daft fad that has caught its low-browed attention.

All I do know is that if you lift your head above the establishment parapet some fanatic will shoot it off. And that fanatic will often be one of your own people. Go figure. I have given up with why they have become what they have become and why they let antagonistic little newts snipe with impunity from the safety of the sidelines. The just do.
