Labour are profligate wasters of money. They would do to the UK what lefties did to Greece. That said, I don't like the alternatives either. Sunak is useless. And I'm not voting Lib Dem.

I mean, when your job is to serve the taxpayer, it's quite straightforwards. Balance the books.
Lefties see so many things they "have to spend" our cash on, they can't balance the books. Abolish all the equality and diversity jobs. Abolish all non essential jobs.
Just have a fairness policy, "no bullying or you're sacked".

Council tax mega-hike set for a MILLION households as Labour authorities on brink of bankruptcyNearly a million homes are facing massive council tax rises as two further Labour-run local authorities have announced they are at risk of effective bankruptcy. Both Bradford Council and Cheshire East Council announced they are at risk of effective bankruptcy yesterday. They may have to issue a section 114 notice, meaning they are unable to balance their budgets by the end of the financial year. Other authorities which have issued the same notice have previously been given permission by central Government to increase council tax by up to 15 per cent – adding hundreds to annual bills. www.gbnews.com/politics/council-tax-bradford-cheshire-east-bankruptcyVote Labour, Ho Ho Ho.

I'm not surprised. They have made Nottingham inaccessible to cars. Most people make the longer but quicker journey to Leicester to shop. Their policy of rejuvenating the town centre consists of refusing planning permission to any new business outside the centre while insisting any business taking premises in the centre must restore the Georgian run down buildings they move into to grade two listing.
We have pulled out having spent 18 months trying to find suitable new premises (our existing one is being knocked down for flats)

I wonder if the Tories might do the right thing and call an early election. Give the people some hope for a different future.

Unless you are the eternal optimist I have to assume you are imbibing on festive spirit, and who could blame you. But anyone who thinks the big issues - net zero, fuel poverty, immigration - will be better under a Labour government is I'm afraid, away with the left wing fairies.

Its like we have no government at all at the moment, so much infighting. Been like it too long and the country is slowing to a stop. People just need to see movement.

This ain't the last time, Zany. Starmer ain't no Blair and he won't be inheriting a well-functioning economy and full coffers.
He's already u-turned on practically every one of his early pledges and Labour are already saying that they won't be able to afford the things that they'd like to do.
They've already fired funding shots across the bows of the NHS and by the time Labour get into power, if they get into power, they will be indistinguishable from the Tories.
Still, I'm sure that the useful idiots will crow as if they've won some kind of victory but the truth is that the country will still be run by the exact same establishment that it is now.

LOL. You're right there, labour will inherit the shit mess the Tories have made of this country. I guess it will take a while to discover just how bad things are and how to fix it.

You carry on Zany - they need you to keep believing the LibLabCon trick. And you. Keep telling yourself the Tories are what the public want. In the meantime lets hope they call an election to prove that.
