The United States yesterday invited a terrorist attack by voting against a ceasefire in Gazza
The UK, also made itself a ready target for terrorist attacks by abstaining on the vote for a ceasefire
If some pro Palestinian group or organisation now committed a terror attack on US or UK interests, either at home or abroad, it would be our government who would be partly responsible.
I do not buy the argument that a ceasefire now would give Hamas the opportunity to regroup, its a lie, and its utter bullshit. What Israel is doing in Gazza has now whipped up so much bitterness and hatred, that reprisals upon Israel by Palestinian groups is now CERTAIN.
The vicious circle of terrorist attacks followed by counter attack has not been broken, Israel has done nothing towards stopping the conflict which has gone on for generations. When Israel finally stops its current reign of terror upon the people of Gazza, do they actually believe that will be the end of the dispute. ?
The whole world condemned Russia for destroying the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, and killing thousands of civilians, so whats different about what Israel is doing, and why does the UK and the US take a different view on what is exactly the same situation.

Guy on a good wind-up - 'Abdul' couldn't hack it... What are you on? I thought the Antifa thug had attacked a brave Londoner and the brave Londoner had defended himself against the Antifa thug - when in actuality the brave Londoner was verbally abusing the Antifa thug whilst being protected by the police, don't they call that incitement to violence?

I hate to point it out Sid, but it was an attack on Israel that started this whole shebang - it didn't need to someone to vote either for or against a ceasefire in the UN which nobody tales any notice of anyway..

'People are using a war to weaponise rape.'
This is an interesting concept - rape is an act of violence, it doesn't need a war to weaponise it. I find it astounding that some people feel that rape is fine if it's their side doing it. Yes Keeping within your allotted narrative is everything. People are allowing their brains to be turned into porridge as the price to remain 'on message' (inside the story) This has now reach such extremes that it looks to all intents and purposeless like a psychiatric condition. The complicating factor is that society itself has been conditioned to accept people who appear to have psychiatric disorders Either civilisation will assert itself and separate from them (if they persist) or the whole enterprise of civilisation will fold into a funny farm.

Sid, as you will see from the post before yours, not everyone in the world submits to threats and blackmail. Thank God for that or the mob would rule.

The Arab Muslim Army of Gaza and its attack on Israel on 7/10. With some 1400 dead, with most of the victims including women and children shot on sight or otherwise eliminated. The Arab Muslim wars to eliminate Israel in the late 1940s still alive in the hearts of the Jewish / Israeli haters. It is easy to attack the Israelis for their angry retaliation, would you care to explain how the Israelis should have dealt with that massacre by the Arab army?

It doesn't look good for the US to veto the UN ceasefire resolution after repeatedly insisting on a temporary ceasefire, and extensions to it, for the purpose of delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. But, given the state of relations between Israel and the UN, does anyone really believe that Israel would have complied had the ceasefire resolution passed ?

I would give the UN more credibility if it had mentioned the cause of the attack by the Israelis. So far all that I have heard is the UN attacking Israel, with Israel being isolated by so many.

A ceasefire allows Hamas to regroup and replan . A ceasefire suits Hamas but not Israel . A danger to world peace ? Possibly .

They may have a point . A ceasefire allows Hamas to regroup and replan . A ceasefire suits Hamas but not Israel . A danger to world peace ? Possibly . To equate support for a ceasefire to support for Hamas is disingenuous. I know no-one who supports Hamas, but many who support a ceasefire because they can distinguish between Hamas and the far too many innocent civilians who are starving and urgently need a humanitarian response.

Unlike Mr. Cohen, I believe that the humanitarian crisis is what is prompting calls for a ceasefire, not support for Hamas. When is world peace not in danger?

You cannot escape the fact that a ceasefire helps Hamas and hamstrings Israel. Whatever the reason to call for it. There are levels of danger for world peace . Back Israel against the wall and the level will steeply rise . Anyone calling for a ceasefire has to factor in reality when assessing its chances of happening and what the consequences would be .

Ignoring the humanitarian crisis comes at a cost. It risks inflaming the whole situation and that endangers world peace, too, does it not? The end result is the same either way.
