You have to laugh when people deride other people for sticking to their principle.
If only there were more like them in our politics.

I found it quite uplifting last night to see politicians, whether you agree with them or not, standing up for a principle accepting personal cost in so doing. I suspect many will be back in the Government after the next election. I find that encouraging. So they're standing up for a principle while having nothing to lose.
I don't find that encouraging, I consider it a cynical ploy.

They are losing pay for the next year and are not certain to return to the front benches. All for a principle. Impressive, whether you agree with their principle or not.

I doubt that the resignation of the Muslim MP for Bengal West will worry Starmer overmuch. And the latest polls have Labour set to slaughter the Tories next year, which means that come the general election all those MPs busily hawking their consciouses around Parliament and the media, will have great difficulty remembering where Gaza is and concentrate on shoving their noses up Sir Stodge's fundament in return for a junior ministry in charge of paper clip procurement LOL

Yet the Hamas sympathisers of the left seem strangely reluctant to call for that. Who are the Hamas sympathisers? All of them.

The Daily Mail. I just wonder if you actually expect an objective political comment about Labour to appear in the Mail, or do you read the Mail purposely because you know it wont.
