^^ That's why this country needs a first amendment, otherwise having free speech and having a job may not be possible at the same time.

We are rapidly moving to a situation in which all speech is recorded. Something like a first amendment is likely now more important than it has ever been.
Without it, society will probably descend into a scramble to use the recording of speech to enforce its views. This is already visible.
