You mean you automatically trigger. My point was that we did our growing back then so we can't blame them for doing their growing now. But, according to you the industrial revolution was a crime. You become so inconsistent here, it's hard to avoid the conclusion that your target is us rather than CO2 No that's what Bentley thinks I think. My point was as I stated. We had an industrial revolution which lead us to be the wealthy country we are. Asia is now going through the same growth and we have to understand that they also want our standard of living. And that this is the reason their Co2 output is growing. The answer is not to deny them that right and pass the buck for what we created. The answer is to try and make their growth possible without ruining the planet. How you and Bentley convert that into me making the industrial revolution a crime is beyond reason. So its just another strawman attack. Invent "What I mean" and attack that because you have no attack on "What I said" |

Perhaps this is down to being a follower of a cultish movement and not a thinker. They end up tying themselves in knots as part of this childish Jihad.
If we are emitting excessive CO2, we should try not to (this part is understandable, though arguable) If others are emitting excessive CO2, we should double down and give ourselves a further punishment beating (this is now climate Jihad territory) Every time the weather does something, it's an omen that we are not punishing ourselves hard enough and the gods are unhappy with us. We can't have a proper public conversation about this because 'the science is settled' This has all the hallmarks of religious sacrament created with the purpose of exterminating us. Absolutely and a religion it has become,an extreme one at that and history tells us what extreme religions/beliefs are capable of it’s not just the guilt for the Industrial Revolution they want to heap on us but colonialism too. Point out that the reality that there’s too many people on the planet and they ignore that and insist if it all goes wrong we must invite them here because of our imposed guilt for the past and even mentioning that’s the real problem invites the inevitable right wing racist label. |

Looks like poverty is the aim... In other reports, U.K. FIRES promotes a world with no flying and shipping by 2050, drastic cuts in home heating and bans on beef and lamb consumption.
Net Zero mandates the dismantling of modern industrial society and the discarding of many of the essentials of modern comfortable living.
. The UN says we should use more sustainable materials in building. The Daily Sceptic says the UN says we should live in mud huts. Could you actually survive without this daily intake of made up political crap. |

Indeed. I forgot to list the other dimension of this knot. That, although our way of living is a crime, we have a moral duty to invite anyone who wants to come into our territory to enjoy it.
