What irony! Monte relying on an article in the Daily Mail an a US womens magazine for historical evidence. Don't you have access to any books by proper historians? Thread reported. Just so you know, there are no restrictions on subject matter for the Mindzone. Both articles use sources from ''proper historians''. Who would you prefer I use? David Irving?

Yes Richard Evans would be a good place to start, volume 1 of his 'Third Reich' trilogy. If anyone has an axe to grind about Dolfy it would be 'Skunky' Evans but strangely enough the Geli Raubal episode doesn't get a single mention. Irving on the other hand has a fairly extensive account, however he concludes it was Eva Braun's introduction into the Inner Circle at Oktoberfest in 1930 that tipped the balance of poor Geli's mind. Ian Kershaw also has a quite extensive discussion in Hitler 1899-1936: Hubris pp351-4. I recommend it.
I shan't be posting any more in this thread, you clearly don't any standing as a commentator on this subject matter.

You can’t libel a dead person. Suffice to say he was a a******* of mammoth proportions, other than that I can’t see there’s much to add.

Hitler, Stalin, Mao. All the same psychopathic personality types and an object lesson in what happens if the totalitarian left are allowed to seize power.

And his rocket scientists flew us to the moon, well they weren't really his Nazi friends, just misunderstood according to the yanks. I am liking this thread, interesting.

Putting aside his disastrous leadership, ruinous war and the Final Solution was Hitler a deeply flawed and hypocritical individual? ''A good number of research works have indicated that Hitler suffered from various ailments like irritable bowel syndrome, skin lesions, cardiac dysrhythmia, coronary arterial disease, syphilis, borderline personality disorder, amphetamine addiction, and importantly, Parkinson's disease.'' His father was an illegitimate, alcoholic who beat his wife and child and there is strong evidence that he was the result of his mother's relationship with her Jewish employer's son making Hitler 25% Jewish. Hitler sexually abused his own niece leading to her suicide. So, far from an example of the superiority of the master race he was a syphilis ridden, junkie rapist with a dodgy heart, terrible skin, had a personality disorder, was prone to shitting himself, was part Jewish and had DNA which linked him to North African ancestors. Yeah, yeah but apart from that and PTSD he wasn't all bad. His uniforms are well known to be super smart Hugo Boss no less, while a few of our own upper echelons are known to wear them. Hugo Boss didn't actually design any uniforms for the Nazis. He did however manufacture them.
