Starmer arrogance laid bare: The figures that prove Labour is ignoring the pleas of its voters.Starmer has been shown to be ignoring the pleas of his party's voters, as a new poll has shown that red wall voters are opposed to a 2030 car ban. The polling was conducted after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced he would be pushing the deadline for banning the sale of diesel and petrol cars to 2035. In response to Sunak's announcement, Starmer said he would reinstate the 2030 deadline if he came to power. But more than half of eligible voters in Red Wall seats (53 per cent) say they support Sunak’s decision to slow the path to net zero carbon emissions by delaying the petrol and diesel car ban to 2035.

Lets see what happens when they start publishing their manifesto. But will they stick to it Zany. They don't call starmer flip flop for no reason. Who knows. Most people I know just want the Tories gone and don't care what follows. And I don't mean a bunch of Labour voters, where I live the friends and neighbours are 90% Tory. I think the problem with the current Tories is less poor decision making and more a lack of honour. Just too many scandals and too many 'why didn't the government stop that' (The water companies for instance) As even Tory supporters say, its all about filling their own back pockets and looking after the already rich.

Well sometimes being a leader is about doing what's needed rather than what's wanted.

Polls, votes and elections but will it make much difference?
The civil service run Britain and there’s an agenda, the eu climate change and migration will all figure but not much will change and it’s benign to a point ,as long as you don’t rock the boat too much.

They said the same about Thatcher - and I dont see large swathes of the electorate switching to Sunaks New Labour policy platform. Yet strangely we see large swathes of the electorate switching to Kiers New Labour policy platform. Well we dont actually - we see large numbers staying home and sitting on their hands because they feel they have nobody to vote for. Take the recent by-election where labour achieved a 20% swing. The amount of votes Labour got was actually lower than they got at the last election when they lost - people certainly are not flocking to Starmers policies - perhaps if he had some that might be different.

Heard this claim a lot. In reality if Sunak (With support from MP's) announced a 50% cut in taxes the civil service would reduce taxes by 50%.

What a very strange comparison. One by election with stunning gains in an area where Labour and the Tories have historically done badly. Used as a guide for how the people across the UK feel. I'll stick with the election polls. Which we have to go all the way back to John Major to see them getting it very wrong

With respect ZG if a frog had wings it wouldn’t bump its a**e so often Not much of a repost TBH. Everyone claims the civil service was against us leaving the EU, yet we left. Everyone claims the Civil service is left wing, yet we still had cuts to the police, nhs, mental health. And no increase in taxes. Our roads are shite, shoplifters go unchallenged, NHS waiting lists are enormous, you can't get a dentist, both rich and poor got furlough equal to their wages, interest rate rises to control inflation when tax rises would have been more effective. Frankly the idea that a left wing civil service is really running the country is laughable.

Well sometimes being a leader is about doing what's needed rather than what's wanted. But nobody including starmer knows what he is doing. He doesent give a shit about the electorate and his only aim is to infest No 10. He cannot be a one size fits all.

Mine is that climate change is very serious and needs action. That the cost of not changing is in the end more expensive than the cost of giving the people what they want short term. But lets say Starmer gave the people what they want on taxes. A sizeable cut. Hooray vote for this guy. Oh wait a minute, what do you mean my hip operation is no longer free on the NHS and my teeth call fall out if I don't pay my dentist £200 quid. What the people want and what they need are rarely the same.

Overall, according to a set of Freedom of Information requests submitted by the Taxpayers' Alliance last October, NHS England employs 800 diversity and inclusion officers, at a cost of £40 million a year.
I suggest you take this matter up with your lefties, because if they get in you'll never see the inside of a NHS hospital and dentists wont exist.
We haven't even got those figures for Wales and Scotland, that's just 'England'.

FFS even many of the so called scientist who insisted that he climate required saving are now distancing themselves from this total bullshit of nut Zero. Wake up and smell the coffee Zany you are looking for a non existent problem.
