We are not talking about lung cancer or smoking . We are not talking about a disease relating to chemicals . Just another false comparison. It's called a metaphor, I'm using it to make the point that not all or most poor people have to be criminals in order for there to be a correlation between poverty and crime. There was no point . There was a false comparison. Poverty is not the prime motivation for crime . Crime can flourish in all parts of society both rich and poor. |

Personally, I find it best to take the matter more seriously, especially when it is pushed with lies, racial provocation and deflections. How does being offended by the idea of a Black History Month rate as taking the matter seriously as in negatively affecting you, yours or others you know…? It is divisive as it concentrates on one ethnic group and places their history as some sort of different history and accentuates the positives. When black history also includes perhaps Lucky Gordon, the slaving stations of Timbuctoo and the mass transit of slaves across the Sahara organised by Black Chieftains then perhaps it will look fair, but history involves plots, cruelty, subterfuge and many despicable acts and these seem to be largely missing in the black history curriculum. It is a positive race projection that most of thought was not an acceptable MO, certainly presenting white saviours has met with much scorn. |

It’s an exercise in self entitlement and victimhood .
The case for black history month is no more compelling than , Indian/ Pakistani , Irish or Chinese month and IMO less compelling than Jewish history month.
It suspect will be used to present black mythology as fact too.
The ones who demand it should grow up , discard the victimhood and the shoulder chips and concentrate on how black people can help themselves .

The Scottish Prison's Commission has found that around one in nine young men from the most deprived communities will spend time in prison before they are 23 years old. To be honest I wouldn't even give you 'statistical data' to prove my point (which I could).
Statistics are made up from various sources, we have no idea who was asked ... for instance if statistics showed 'we asked 100 people who agreed with stop and searching of back people' .. and it came back with 99.99% said NO, how do we know they never asked 100 black people that question?
It stands to reason, depending on who is asked questions, will depend on the outcome, and for that reason I never take any notice to 'statistical date', least of all if YouGov has anything to do with it.

There is racism in every society and in every group in society. Discrimination of some sort is the natural way of all humans for good reason as it has been an aid to survival for eons. Well pointed out . Drugs, lack of father figure, sense of hopelessness ie. Victimhood . Of course there is crime in poor communities. There is crime in all communities. Poor people are just less equipped to,get away with it . Corruption and sexual crimes have been identified in the police service . Are police poor ? Are all shop lifters and burglars poor? Are drug dealers poor? Do they stop drug dealing when they stop being poor ? As I said poverty is not the primary cause of criminality. |
