LOL - more culture wars from Labour...
So what would a "Racial Equality Act" entail?
What would count as "structural racial inequalities"?
Will there be an enforcement mechanism?
If so, what would such an enforcement mechanism look like?
What consequences would one face were they found to be practicing "structural racial inequality"?
Would such "structural racial inequality" include the white working class?
If not, why not? - and why, just a year from the next election, don't Labour have any answers to these questions?

Here is a thought, rather than moaning about people moaning and backing anything that new Labour can come up with that might ring a bell with the black community as a down trodden minority, which is rather a poor excuse, I am sure you being a great believer in said black history month, you can show us how this has helped the black community, because far from casting aspersions a very sizeable part of their youth seems to be following something completely different.

I'm all for it if we can have a White history month, I mean we wouldn't want anyone to think it's all one sided, and any one particular group of people were being discriminated against .... would we.

When looking into it most sensible black people find it rather insulting, where they don't want to be reduced to a colour. I understand the Left don't really care how they think or feel about it, which is why I ask the question.

The left just play to the crowd, they are always speaking on behalf of people who don't want them to speak for them, the lefty virtue signalling is what they do best, they only create bigger divisions and segregation, and in most cases fuel racism, because it's what they thrive on, its....'us and them'.

Yeah, but I'd like to find the origin. The spark that ignited this frenzy. It just seems like it's all designed to cause division, even amongst black people, where it's mostly the Marxists in BLM that insist of these things for their own profiteering. As for the Left, they just need to be the big bully who demands people do this or that to win Lefty support. After all, black people in the Tories are abused by the Left and called names. Are people actually listening to black people or people in general, or are they only listening to themselves?

The left don't want people living in harmony, it only works for them when there is division and segregation , if you take a close look at how they tick over, you will easily spot that they are never happy unless they are causing some form of civil unrest, creating problems that aren't there, Black people should wake up and realize the left are their enemies not their false friends.

'Black History Month' LOL, this is woke virtue signalling on an epic scale. Like kneeling for BLM, it's so ridiculous it's laughable.
As Rod Liddle said...
... 'the overwhelming majority of street crime, knife crime, gun crime, robbery and crimes of sexual violence in London is carried out by young men from the African-Caribbean community.'
In return for all this crime, the black community has given Britain 'rap music, goat curry and a far more vibrant and diverse understanding of cultures which were once alien to us. For which, many thanks'.

Well they certainly seem to be getting into the swing of things round your neck of the woods, Red. To mark the start of BHM members of the 'Windrush community' in East Staffordshire are being given the freedom of the borough in 'heartfelt gratitude' at their contribution to the area. "Michael Fitzpatrick, the leader of the council, said the council wanted to acknowledge the contributions of the local African-Caribbean community over the past 75 years. “I can think of no better way to celebrate the Windrush generation and its lineage than by granting them this prestigious award,” he said." www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/oct/01/windrush-generation-in-east-staffordshire-to-be-honoured-by-councilIs this a case of what Staffordshire does today, the rest of the country does tomorrow? Although it's hard to see what South Derbyshire can do to top it we eagerly anticipate Wally's report on BHM happenings there.

'My neck of the woods'! I wouldn't describe Burton upon Trent as 'my' neck of the woods. I don't think I've ever been there, although at 35 or maybe 40 miles away I suppose it could be described as relitively close.
I would dearly love to know what huge contribution the African-Caribbean community have made in Burton upon Trent or indeed to East Staffordshire. As I said, this is nothing more than blatant virtue signalling nonsense. Woke types who promote this rubbish are the sort of weak and feeble people who insist the Emperor was finely clothed.

Black people helped to defend us against the Nazis, and many helped to rebuild our economy and our infrastructure after the war.
