Jews are probably one of the most discriminated ethnic group that ever existed . They have been no stranger to poverty either . Yet they are probably the most successful ethnic group . Did you study the way Jews overcame their oppression and become the success that they now are or did you just focus on victimhood ? As I said poverty is NOT the highest motivating factor to criminal activity because if it were most poor people would be criminals . In the first few years of the first arrivals in large numbers black people were introduced into extremely poor white areas of the UK . Think about it. There is always a logical or scientific reason for everything, and you are attempting to push back on what is accepted historical fact. When Jews first arrived in this country in large numbers from Europe, most did live in poverty and in poor housing, in London many Jews lived in the East End amongst working class cockneys, and they were discriminated against. As time went on, many Jews got themselves out of poverty, and times got better, but here we are talking about the 19th century and in the years leading up to the 1930s. Times are also changing for black people now, the discrimination is not what it was, and we now see black people in all walks of life, as police officers, mayors, judges, lawyers and famous people. However, once in that circle of low atainment, poor housing, poor qualifications, low pay, its often difficult to break out of it, and unfortunately, just like on mainly white occupied council estates, crime becomes part of the culture. I could go to certain areas of Middlesbrough today and find someone who could get me almost anything to order (stolen). View Attachment The statue is of an ancestor of mine, she was called Sophia Constable, and she was the youngest ever inmate of Northallerton Prison in North Yorkshire. At the age of 12 she was jailed for stealing a loaf of bread, because she was hungry, because she lived in poverty. Remember: Where theres poverty, you will always find crime I’m not trying to push back anything , I’m not trying to compare a society of 70 or 40 years ago to today . I’m not pretending that when blacks first came here they were rejected by wealthy racist Brits . I’m not peddling victimhood . I’m not trying to pretend that poverty is the prime cause of criminal activity ..because it’s not .

One beauty of Black History Month is enjoying how is pisses some people off while it affects them not one jot… The fact that you find racial provocation pleasurable is informative.
I find upsetting certain minorities pleasurable. I also find it informative that they’re mostly unaware that October in the UK is also: National Cholesterol Month Breast Cancer Awareness Month Go Sober for October Lupus Awareness Month National Bullying Prevention Month…

Personally, I find it best to take the matter more seriously, especially when it is pushed with lies, racial provocation and deflections.

How does being offended by the idea of a Black History Month rate as taking the matter seriously as in negatively affecting you, yours or others you know…? How long have you been offended by history that you felt the need for racialize it? After all, the only answer I've received is a theory of insitutional racism, which, as we know, is applied to every western institution.

Are you saying that no one can have an opinion on the subject here unless it ‘ actually ‘ affects them?

Demographic population statistics are usually at a ratio of "Per 100,000" The crime rate in an affluent area is almost always lower than in a poorer, or run down area where poverty is higher, I am simply explaining facts. For at least 40 years from the first arrivals in large numbers, black people were routinely and frequently discriminated against. This was the number 1 reason as to why most black people were on low pay, lived in poor housing, and why a much higher percentage lived in poverty, as oppossed to white people. Where there is poverty - you always see higher rates of crime Yes, in the past I bristled at the suggestion, having grown up poor I took it personally, it was an emotional reaction. But study after study has for me shown an undeniable correlation between poverty and crime. It doesn't mean all or even most poor people are criminals, it just means someone growing up in poverty makes a person more likely to commit crime than someone who grows up in an affluent environmental.

There are some basic facts which you must accept when studying or discussing Social History Wherever there is poverty, you will find crime. Well known causes of poverty are unemployment, low pay and inability to work, but another often overlooked cause is discrimination. Think about it If poverty was the main motivator of crime then most poor people would be criminals. Think about it . Most smokers don't get lung cancer, doesn't mean there isn't a link between smoking and lung cancer.

We are not talking about a disease relating to chemicals . Just another false comparison.

It's called a metaphor, I'm using it to make the point that not all or most poor people have to be criminals in order for there to be a correlation between poverty and crime.
