Indeed, I stopped voting Labour about 20 years ago. Common sense comes to most of us in the end. So do you vote Tory now? I notice in your thread title you call them children instead of young adults, which is what they are, is that for effect? Children conjures up images of 11,12 year olds or less. LOL, Christ almighty, you really have got it bad. Children are not adults young or otherwise, they are children. In this country a child becomes an adult aged 18, that's the law. |

In this country a child becomes an adult aged 18, that's the law. The age of criminal responsibility is 10. The age at which you can sign up for the armed forces is 17. 13 year olds can legally work. 16 year olds can be employed full time. 16 year olds can buy and smoke cigarettes. 16 year olds can drink alcohol. 16 year old should be allowed to vote. |

If you are proposing that only tax payers should vote then tell us how this will work . I did not say that but I am saying that all tax payers should vote. So a 16 year old that earns marginally over the tax threshold should vote and an 18 year old that doesn’t pay tax should not ? A 7 year old pays tax on a chocolate bar so they should vote? What planet are you on ? |
