if politics carry on as it is , by herding people down a dead political end to vote red or blue tory dressed up as the cosy centre , dismissing much of the views of wider society in the process , you are merely hastening , not solving , the problems of society and its breakdown.
We dont need two tory parties. How can it be healthy when a party as inept as labour , and keir starmer , simply become government not becasue they are popular and have great policy , but because they are merely the second half of a two horse race who will take up the reigns of power in an electoral stitch up.?
The problem of the uk currently is much wider and deeper than the bogeyman of political extremism.
Do you honestly think keir starmer is the solution to those problems?
Personally I think it is people like (but not necessarily her) Caroline Lucas who hold many of the solutions to our real problems but that's because I'm an Ecomentalist. Would Starmer be any better than the current shower? Probably not but he couldn't be any worse. sorry monte i missed this post .
Whatever you think of the likes of lucas and her parties policies, at least she is original of thought , unlike starmer and his washed out blairite politics.
sure but if the sum total of england or the uk if it stays together political ambition is to have dumb governing rather than dumber , then surely you are merely locked into a spiral of decay and decline?

I agree. Starmer changes colour like the Tories change leaders. Keir starmer is the weather vane of uk politics.
trying to please everyone to gain power by jumping on every bandwagon going is doomed to failure in the sense at one point the piper will have to be paid , and starmer wont have the money to do so.
Nice to agree on something. Starmer proved to me he was not the Messiah the first time he opened his mouth and showed he was far more into scoring political points than making worthwhile changes. The only thing he seems to have learned from Blair is that you can be 100 % right all the time but if you do it from the opposition benches you do nothing. |
