I don't disagree with the above responses but, yes there was always going to be a but, I'm sure you would agree the police are less than consistent. For example; I recently watched one of the many 'docu type' police programmes on TV. The police, in Derbyshire if memory serves, were in hot pursuit of a van which refused to stop. After a short chase the van careered into a pikey caravan site, the pursuing police cars (x2) stopped at the gates, within minutes a third police car was on the scene. Six coppers and they were seemingly frightened to enter a pikey caravan site. After much discussion they drove away, and embarrassingly this was on TV. Yet I have every confidence those same coppers would frog march someone who didn't pose a threat off to the nick in handcuffs for allegedly causing someone anxiety on Twitter. I'm sure not all coppers are woke social justice warriors, but the problem is, many are. I'd say most aren't. The problem is institutional: There is an institutional fear of being accused of racism or homophobia, regardless of the truth of the matter.
Never mind the police, that's the society we live in.
And that's why society gets the policing it deserves.
I disagree, it's not the society we live in. It's the society a minority want us to live in but the majority aren't interested. If you go out onto the streets and ask people if they agree with the police being 'Stonewall diversity champions', or whether they want police to wear rainbow helmets, drive rainbow cars, dance at gay pride events, wear rainbow slides on their epaulettes etc etc, I am absolutely confident the vast majority of people will say they absolutely disagree with it. Society has not got the police it deserves or wants. Society has got the police a tiny minority of extreme left wing groups insist we should have.

The Conservatives have had ten years to abolish the college of policing, ofcom and similar nonsense. It appears to me they wont do it because would lead to a direct confrontation with the borderline career criminals currently running the un-accountable portions of the uk government. The Uk public are sat in the middle as voiceless victims who don't know who their abusers are.

Its not the fault of the police but the fault of the public is all I keep hearing, but it seems the police openly admit they were at fault.

Are we in a Police State???........This is what our police force is only capable of now. Sad but true.
Moment seven officers drag 'autistic' girl, 16, kicking and screaming from Leeds home for committing a 'hate crime' after she told female cop 'you look like my lesbian nana' A 16-year-old girl was arrested after saying a police officer 'looked like a lesbian' The girl hid in her hallway and was filmed being dragged away screaming
The female officer (pictured) insisted the girl would be arrested after she 'said she looked like her lesbian nana'
She's got to apologise. The IOPC have done her for that arrest: www.gbnews.com/news/lesbian-nana-arrest-police-officer-apology

But that doesn't explain why the police were called in the first place. More to it than is being reported, I suspect. You can piss on the sidewalks and carry a frigging matchette mate but you cannot speak the truth. What a bloody state of affairs. No you can't both are against the law and if reopened they will turn up I thought you was a keen up holder of The law . Seeing how much about Crime you post all over the place .

But that doesn't explain why the police were called in the first place. More to it than is being reported, I suspect. Seems a bit heavy handed, dont you think? Seven coppers to arrest one 16 year old girl! What's going on? A few weeks ago we heard about a copper who refused to intervene when a gang of feral thugs looted a shop, and the police fail to solve more than 500 burglaries a day. Yet seven can be found to arrest one 16 year old girl. Could it be because police these days recruit 5ft weaklings? i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/08/01/20/73853023-0-image-a-2_1690916956087.jpgDon't know what size has got to do with strength or ability. Is there restrictions on height in Armed services Fire brigade or Ambulance Services. Seeing it's on Average Woman are shorter then men are you against woman's equality has well is this a so called woke program?

7 was probably a bit heavy handed For a job 4 police officers could do comfortably. Especially seeing they travel. About in pairs these days.
What was the other 3 officers doing observing?

Seeing it's on Average Woman are shorter then men are you against woman's equality has well is this a so called woke program? That's a good question, I don't think there were height restrictions when I joined in 1977 and and there certainly wont be restrictions of any sort now, unless your a fit young white man of course in which case you can fuck off and try again in two years, yay diversity. But the army for a multitude of reasons is very different animal to the police. The police should have minimum height restrictions, what's the point of a 8 stone 5'2" copper trying to arrest a 16 stone 6 foot hooligan. The reason the police wear, or used to wear helmets was to make them look tall, it gave the appearance of authority. Of course these days Lenny Henry would insist that was racist and of course the modern woke authorities bend over backwards to appease anyone who shouts racist, the word of our epoch.
