I have never lived in a place that had play streets, play areas away from the roads yes and Parks but no play streets Hackney has play streets. They're not permanent, but the organisers apply for (usually residential) streets to be closed on particular days for play activities to take place. Inconvenient for residents, but it's only on a few days of the year — and it doesn't impede the travel of electric bikes and scooters.
Hackney also has residential streets around schools where only residents' vehicles with special permits are allowed...

The last time I was in Wales was at Pontypool. It was like drivng up and down mountains. There's just no way I could drive in Wales at a fixed 20mph. The Welsh government are criminal Marxist scum.

The limits in the countryside are not changing, it is not, as the Tories want you to believe, a blanket 20mph scheme.

"Pontypool is a town and the administrative centre of the county borough of Torfaen" www.torfaen.gov.uk/en/RoadsTravelParking/RoadsAndPavements/20mph/20mph.aspxStill, I do like the way Starmer supporters rely on strawmen. They are, after all, an openly dishonest campaign.

I sent this last night to the jumped up twat taking a six figure sum to be my constituency assembly member and also Attorney General
——————
Dear Mr Griffiths
Thank you for making my daughter lose one of her two jobs.
As a single mother she has not had the opportunity to enjoy the opulent lifestyle of the average Assembly member but she has until this week been employed in two separate jobs to make ends meet as best she can
She cannot afford a car so leaves her house at 7:30 every morning, leaving her teenage daughter to get herself to school, and walks the mile and a bit to her first job, then walks back home from that, showers and grabs a bite to eat before catching the first of two Newport Buses to get to her second job, catching the buses back when that finishes.
She’s been doing that for quite a while now
But this week your 20mph nonsense kicked in and as a result Newport Buses revised their timetable. It is no longer possible to find a connecting service from the Bus Station to her second job. She’s had to walk to it this week while she works her notice and next week she will be living in fear of DWP Sanction
A LABOUR party has forced a working class single mother to abandon one of the jobs she’s held down to keep the bailiffs at bay
God, you must be SO proud of yourself.
Yours

Well done JoG for flagging up some unintended consequences of this nonsense. They must be receiving a mountain of mail. Sympathy with your daughter.
