That is patently obvious. Doesnt need explaining. My issue is why no one uses other means of complying with Tory diktat. There's no point in complying because that's not the issue.
Put it this way: Once every vehicle becomes compliant (because soon enough they will be) do you think that ULEZ will just be abandoned?
Of course it won't - they'll just move the goalposts until everyone pays.
Because it's about money, not emissions.

My brother's car is not compliant and he lives in South London and is against ULEZ,he has no plans to do anything yet.
I said perhaps wait and see where the cameras are to see if you can make round arbout trips to avoid the charge.
He thinks that could work and he lives close to the High Street yet his kids are teens with a social life.

ULEZ is up against a lot of opposition and the main mayoral opponent has already stated that she'll scrap it if elected, which I've feeling that she will be.
ULEZ is institutionally racist and it directly affects many of Khan's core voters.
Interesting times.

Bollocks — most of the bros have Ulez compliant Beemas. It’s the poor Darby and Joan pensioners who’re going to be hit — probably even if their car is parked on residents parking on the street and not moving from one week to the next…

I know what ULEZ is. I asked what has happened to the catalytic converters which are made to remove particulates. They were developed in the 90's and never heard of again... ULEZ is Khan's response to the Tory requirement to reduce emissions. But he chose this solution while i have never seen any attempt to improve the catalytic converter. It seems to have disappeared. Why has no company tried to develop or improve it or create another such device? Catalytic convertors have only been fitted on nearly all diesels since 2,000. They don't meet ULTRA low emission zone. ULEZ standards. They have been improved many modern diesels have Ad blue. What does AdBlue do to your car? The AdBlue reacts with the NOx and breaks it down into harmless oxygen and nitrogen that comes out of the exhaust pipe and disperses into the atmosphere. Adblue cars meet ULEZ

Then follow the science, develop it and make some money,!!
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE UK ENTREPRENURIAL SPIRIT?
ASK Dyson. He moved out years ago because the UK lost its mojo.

IF and I mean IF there were any value to it, that money would be being spent buying up land in tropical rainforest nations and being spent on replanting those forests. IT IS NOT being used for that purpose it is being used, to impoverish people and raise funds for Sadiq Khan's incompetent mismanaged TFL.

You seem confused on this. The science has moved forward. Adblue followed on from catalytic convertors and ne EV's have followed on from Adblue. Dyson left the UK for tax reasons.

You don't add it to your diesel, it goes in a separate tank in vehicles that have the facility. It is injected into the exhaust pipe not the engine.

You havent addressed the main issue, the cost and threat to jobs that having to switch to a whole new vehicle creates.

And the environmental impact of having to scrap perfectly good vehicles that already meet national MOT emissions standards.

No extra tanks required you can use it with petrol too.

I have to admit, I didn't realise that about Adblue, I've never used it. I'm afraid you're right, it requires a separate tank and is mixed with exhaust gases.
I normally use Redex. I assumed it was the same kind of thing.
Adding Adblue to a fuel tank can cause thousands of pounds of damage.

Maybe it is not so strong in its use doing it that way but there are benefits. The other way of course is using steam injection strait into the exhaust manifold mixed with ad blue.
