Hate to point it out, and have done on multiple occasions previously, I'm not a Labour supporter... π Do you support liberal or green for exmaple andrew? The reason i ask is the majority on here dont seem to support the three main parties in the uk at present , so do you think westmisnter should have a proportional system instead to reflect the majority of non main party views ? To the first question, yes. I voted both LibDems and Greens in 2019. And yes, definitely favour PR. Our FPTP doesn't reflect what the electorate voted for, usually giving a minority a majority in parliament.

I said before the uk parliament appears to be the only parliament in western europe that doesnt have a form of pr now. Fully agree.

Conservative MPs have warned that the "cancel culture" of political voices on the right of politics which saw Nigel Farage lose his bank account has also infected the advertising industry and is targeting channels like GB News.
A "sinister" left-wing organisation called the Conscious Advertising Network (CAN), a coalition of more than 180 advertisers, agencies, tech providers and civil society groups, is being blamed for trying to silence conservative voices on the right of politics.
Absolutely ^^

You'd have to be a special kind of bigot to find anything "sinister" about CAN.

CAN is, I guess, just the latest bogey for the Right to project their paranoia and scapegoating onto.
After all, "Common Purpose", George Soros and "Deep State" are all a bit tired now.

Me thinks you might be up against it this time, but on the Brightside apparently they welcome investigation. Of course nothing sinister there and nothing to see here. I mean a whole group of people steering politics can only be for the greater good.

It's a sinister plot to promote the left, the BBC, the banks, advertising companies, Musk took control of Twitter and realised it was being used as a platform to promote lefty ideology, hopefully he's put pay to that. In trying to convince people they are being paranoid or conspiracy theorists isn't washing any more, the facts speak for themselves, the Banks have admitted it, the BBC has had to make a groveling apology, social media has also been caught out, so you see 'we know' what is going on.
I will add one more thing, the more they try to promote the left and silence the right, the bigger divisions they are creating, but they can't say they haven't been warned.

I don't think so. I think Labour are quite adept at playing identity politics and get kids hooked when they're young - see Keir Mather, and the like who have been smothered by cultural marxism at a very young age. The only reason Labour is gaining any momentum is by dirty tricks.
Both the Snivel Service and the public sector are being egged on by the lefty Unions, the teachers NHS are also jumping on the lefty bandwagon, not to mention the banks are trying to cancel everyone who isn't a lefty, if it was left to Starmer Labour may as well throw in the towel now, they wouldn't stand a hope in hells chance of winning the next GE.
The lefties are becoming a powerful aggressive movement, edging to far-left, it's turning towards dangerous politics, when the likes of banks are playing politics it's time to overhaul the establishment, before we end up like Russia.
You mean they are beginning to behave like Tories LOL. Even though they will never equal the Tories for sniveling, insinuating and insulting. They do seem to be a bit more mature than the Tories on this board.

Yes it's really insulting and immature for a deputy leader in opposition to scream swear like a fishwife Tory scum Tory scum, yes she's got some maturing to do, the only scum is her.

The Tory Party can rightfully be called the Pensioners Party, you only have to look around the audience of a Tory Party Conference to see what I mean, often refered to in the past as "The Blue Rinse Brigade" and the "hang em and flog em mob".
In the 2019 general election, 21% of 18 to 24s voted Conservative, opposed to 56% who voted Labour - and of the 25 to 30 age group it was not much better for the Conservatives 23%, and 54% for Labour.
The Conservatives find it difficult to win elections on politics alone, and so they use Culture Wars, and Labour no longer has the so called "working class" in their pocket, because the days of mass employment in heavy industry with everyone in a trade unions, preaching socialism has mostly died out.
A man like Rishy Sunak is never in a thousand years going to retain the Red Wall Seats, or hold on to working class voters because - he's just too much of a traditional Conservative, unlike Boris Johnson. So for me, I have no worries about Redcar or Blyth, or Northwest Durham or Bishop Aukland, they will be back under Labour.
