It's 1997 all over again for the Tories. Later there will be 2010 all over again for Labour. Perhaps in 2037. Not for Labour that would take an International Financial Meltdown. and if history is anything to go by that won't be until 2070.

When is ‘the last minute’ ? December i guess. And the best quote in there is from the jerk who helped john major lose to blair ‘The sooner we hold an election the sooner we will be back in power after a spell in opposition’. Its clear they need Starmer to tank the economy in order to get back in favour. In many ways it’s a shame Boris and the Tories had the job of seeing off Covid. Had Corbyn won in 2019 Britain would not have an illegal immigration problem everyone here would be trying to claim asylum in Sudan. At this weekends Labour Policy Forum in Nottingham, delegates voted in favour of sticking to Keir Starmers promise NOT to commit to any policies which cannot be funded. The final policy document will now go forward to form the basis of the 2024 General Election Manifesto, much to the annoyance of far Left groups such as Momentum ( do they still exist ? ), and the more militant unions such as UNITE. This is reminiscent of the early Blair era, where the Labour Party went into the 1997 general election on a promise to stick within tight fiscal rules. If the Tories did happen to get back into power next year, I wonder if we will have any NHS left after another 5 years of their rule, and maybe ambulance response time might become 6 hours instead of the present 3 hours, maybe waiting lists will reach 14 million instead of todays 7 million. As you know, in Wales we have endured labour incompetence in the health service uninterrupted since 1997 which is why our ambulsnces are now little more than hearses and at no time has the english NHS queue for anything been worse than tbe welsh one, largely in recent times because being black and being able to mince round a podium counts more than competence where the job of health minister was concerned. The jumped up little hitler they put in charge who got his addiction to power when the assholes in london failed to declare the pandemic a NATIONAL energency requiring CENTRAL oversight makes saddo kgan’t look like a clarkson worshipping petrolhead. If you REALLY want to experience your beloved labour party in charge get yourself a ‘C’ tax code.

As you know, the budget awarded to Wales from central government has gone down in Real Terms, but also, I wonder why Wales gets less money per head to spend on health than the Northeast of England. ?
A region similar to Wales in so much as it has more than its fare share of problems with low incomes, poverty, obesity and poorer health.
