I ask the same questions I have for a while and had no serious response. Why should the French, given they have their own immigration problem, stop immigrants boarding boats and sailing to England? And. Would we stop them leaving England if the roles were reversed? Pillock. The French refuse to allow 'refugee' boats from Africa to land on their mediterranean coast, which is why the Italians are so pissed of with the French. Yet the French look the other way when it comes to the Channel coast, double standards? Hypocrisy? You choose. I think we all know that if hundreds of thousands of illegals from England were landing on French beaches, the French and the EU would be going absolutely mental. They would demand the ECtHR fined the UK £billions, and insist the UN issued sanctions against the UK for not securing it's borders, and you can bet every single illegal would be deported back to England. Yes indeed, if the roles as you say were reversed, it would be a very different matter. I’m sure our Mr Rackham enjoyed his rant. Let’s see if there is any substance in real world fact. Geography means of course that there are likely to be very few asylum seekers travelling through the UK to France. So we have no direct evidence of what would happen if there were. 2022 saw 74000 asylum applications in the UK and 115000 in France. (Covid made it a high year). Some of those applications would have arrived by plane but it is a reasonable assumption that most arrived by surface means. Let’s estimate 100000 of the French applicants and 60000 of the UK ones. So 160000 surface claimants the vast majority of whom will have crossed the French border from countries to the east of France. Has France demanded Italy be fined £bn by the ECHR. Has Germany had sanctions imposed by the UN. Has every single one of the 100000 applicants been deported back to Switzerland? No? You mean this is just yet another figment of Rackham’s distorted imagination. Oh dear how disappointing. Incidentally the comparative figures do illustrate why we have a problem. France received 115000.new cases and determined 125000 - determination ratio of 108% and hence a net reduction in its backlog. We received 74000 and determined just 19000 - a determination ratio of 25% and hence a massive increase in our backlog. Do you see the difference? France dealt with the problem while Johnson and his crew played to the tabloids. Fecking useless. |

I think they should be fingerprinted and DNA profiled at the point they are found on EU soil and told very firmly at that point they have the right to apply for asylum to the state in which they now stand, but if they move on from there then they have no rights at all. I am sure you are quite aware the UK signed up to a number of treaties decades before the EEC was even a thing guaranteeing fair treatment of those seeking protection either as refugees from conflict or seeking political asylum for being in fear of action against them by their country of birth or residence for what we have now been forced to identify as a protected characteristic but eighty years or more ago before some woke fuckwit invented those terms we all agreed was ‘common decency in a civilised society’ EVERY ONE of those batards in a rubber boat is trying to play the system and deserves to be treated as someone trying to shit on a genuine claimant with a real case. Unless we start treating these scum who shit on the others in the system that way we will get nowhere except showed under. I understand this is painful fir the lunatic left to grasp but tgerexwe are.
