Oh dear. Only a Brexiter could confirm that the referendum was affirmed a year before it happened! :-D But I said "We've already affirmed the 2016 result 3 or 4 times." You asked me to what I was referring and I've shown where Brexit was affirmed 3 times. Job done. 1. 2017 general election ,both main parties promise to back brexit and brexiters win again. 2. 2019 European elections , brexiters win majority despite bbc portraying it as a remain win much to everyone's amusement. 3. 2019 general election...get Brexit done..brexiters win. So please stop trying to act stupid.

No, you didn't misread that: a minority can rule over the majority under the current 'democratic' system. 52% voted for pro-referendum parties in 2019: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/election-result-boris-johnson-pro-brexit-referendum-voters-conservatives-a9245866.html

Are you referring to 2017 when May lost her majority, or 2019, when more people voted for a second referendum than "Get Brexit Done"? I'm not clear. 2015 general election , brexiters win by backing cameron to hold a brexit ref. Labour may i remind you opposed democracy. 2016 brexit referendum , brextiters win. 2017 general election ,both main parties promise to back brexit and brexiters win again. 2019 European elections , brexiters win majority despite bbc portraying it as a remain win much to everyone's amusement. 2019 general election...get Brexit done..brexiters win. Absolute tosh. Only the 2016 one was about Brexit. General elections are about lots of things not just one. The Brexit vote has never been reaffirmed. When some of us suggested that it should be once we knew what the deal was, you and other Brexiteers were running scared from the prospect, afraid to trust the public.

A sample size of 1,000 randomly selected adults is highly likely to produce a result accurate to within +/-3% at a 95% confidence level. Increasing the sample size to 2,000 would only result in a further percentage point accuracy i.e. +/-2%. Gallup polls are usually conducted with 1,000-size samples. Yet there were big regional variations on which areas did or did not vote for Brexit, if this was say Manchester would not trust it. As I said before needs to be a campaign again to rejoin and we might lose Sterling this time if it were to happen. Brilliant. When the polls tell you something you dont like, you assume they must be wrong. Lol

Totally agree. The QT episode was cringe. I mean the bloke who followed the EU citizen from the port to the benefit office and the lady who voted out because the French and Germans went on the roof without safety harnesses.. I won't criticise them as they may both be members of this forum... They were all remants FFS hash. You have been told enough times that those who are not dead from the neck up have no regrets about the way we voted. They had a frigging great firework display in Torbay last night celeibratiing out freedom. I'll be gentle on you and presume you didn't watch it. Go and enjoy your Cornwall independence fireworks.

Let me have a guess and say that you weren't even born by the last referendum...

I'm wondering whether Brexit-related threads ought to be banned in the Mind Zone since they rarely if ever result in any meaningful discussion but just the endless churning over of mindless arguments one way or the other.

Let me have a guess and say that you weren't even born by the last referendum... I was and voted to join a common market,by the time of the various treaties and that **** Blair it began to dawn I’d made a mistake. And I’ll keep on saying this too each and every thread on either brexit or climate change what always creeps in is anyone who a) voted leave b) questions any part of climate change is portrayed as an idiot.

People still hellbent on defying the myths Brexit has failed. Deary me. They want us to go crawling back to the EU with cap in hand. The EU will oblige in humiliating these people.
But questions need to be answered to persuade the people, rather than the last failed attempt of using fear.
1. How much would Britain have to pay for the EU's bloated budget? Currently, we're dodging an expensive bullet here.
2. What proportion of global trade will the EU represent for Britain in 20yrs time? Will it still be decreasing while Asia-Pacific grows?
3. What will be the annual net migration figures once Freedom of Movement is restored? And lower wages are brought back to these shores to the convenience of remainer business owners and to the detriment of the working class.
4. What would be the economic cost of joining the Eurozone? Which is currently in a recession while Britain is not.
5. Will the UK rejoin the Common Fisheries Policy?
6. As we already have a Free Trade Agreement with the EU, what precisely would be the advantage of rejoining its Single Market and Customs Union?
7. Will Brussels lawmakers have priority over the UK parliament and will the European Court of Justice be superior to British courts?
8. Would Rejoiners agree to the EU being in overall charge of foreign and security policy?
9. Will Rejoiners commit to a referendum to approve the terms negotiated for a new relationship with the EU?
10. What would be the effect on future trade of abandoning negotiations for closer relations with the Pacific region?
Better start making some positive, persuasive arguments rather than resorting to calling people racist, knuckle draggers. You've got a hard task ahead of you to convince people. And I suspect by the time this has happened many
people will have grown wiser to the nature of the EU beast; rather than the naivety of believing that it is the pinnacle of human civilisation.
