Taxpayers should not fund political briefing documents for political parties. SNP should refund tax payers for all such expenses immediately it is politicising the civil service.......Even when they are as bad as this, they still get very well paid and full expenses from the tax payer. Its a joke.
Now the SNATS wants TWO referendums - the first to split up the UK and another that could abolish the monarchy - as Humza Yousaf pushes on with independence drive despite waning support from Scots
The SNATS today demanded two referendums as Humza Yousaf continues his independence drive despite waning support from Scots.
The separatists have published a fresh taxpayer-funded paper on how they would split the UK.
The document published by Mr Yousaf - a self-declared republican - insisted that a constitutional convention would 'consider other models for the Head of State of an independent country'.
The new written constitution would then be subject to a national vote.
Mr Yousaf was criticised for his 'obsession' with breaking up Britain as the latest paper making the case for independence was released.
It comes amid signs that the SNAT's support is being undermined by the chaos over its finances, and issues such as gender identity rights. Backing for independence has also been running consistently below 50 per cent.

Support has not been 'consistently' below 50%. Some polls have had support over 50% and the consensus of opinion is that the constitutional question is a 50/50 scenario. The SNP are not demanding a vote on the monarchy under the present system. It would take place after Independence. It has always been SNP policy that the monarchy would be retained until the Scottish people say otherwise. Oh! And by the way, it is not only Yousaf who has the Independence 'obsession', half the population want to see the end of the Union . Why should we remain silent?

Try reading something a bit more challenging than the Mail and you might get a half decent perspective on Scottish politics!

Try reading something a bit more challenging than the Mail and you might get a half decent perspective on Scottish politics! Scottish Politics has become a progressive nightmare. As a generally one issue party the SNP forming government has been a disaster for Scotland. All aspects have suffered and with Scottish Education at one time being a shining beacon for the world to view it has become just another tool for the march of the progressives. I would think that Sturgeon and Yusuf as well as a few others have indicated what Scottish independence may look like and for those of us living here it is a scary prospect.

There are numerous states of similar population or less who are very successful. As for education, read this www.oecd-ilibrary.org/sites/13fe90b7-en/index.html?itemId=/content/component/13fe90b7-en#:~:text=Scotland%20ranked%20among%20the%20top,in%20reading%2C%20mathematics%20and%20science. It tells a vastly different story from that portrayed in the Unionist msm from which I presume you glean your info.

FFS fellow Brit I would have more chance of becomming the pope than the SNATS getting their indy... We will achieve Independence and get out of the toxic Union. No more UK Governments we did not vote for. No more participation in illegal wars. No more nuclear weapons etc etc.

So, all that's left are the fanatical rants. Also, Tony Blair was born in Scotland, wrote love letters to the IRA and gave birth to the ScotNat.

So, all that's left are the fanatical rants. Also, Tony Blair was born in Scotland, wrote love letters to the IRA and gave birth to the ScotNat. The SNP was formed in 1934. The idea that Blair 'gave birth' to Scottish Nationalism beggars belief. What has his place of birth got to with anything? He went to a fee paying school which followed the English education system. He went to an English University. He became an English barrister.
