If discrimination causes a person to have very little money due to the fact they can only get low paid work, and if they live in either poverty or relative poverty, and if they live in the worst areas, in the worst housing, its extremely difficult to get out of that situation because of discrimination.
A white man, or a white family in the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s could look for promotion, learn or teach themselves new skills, aim higher, but those kinds of openings were not available to most black people.
You seem to push back on the very idea that literally for generations, black people were second class citizens in this country, people like you are unhappy at facing facts. It happened, and it went on for many years, it happened to people who are alive today, and to the parents of young people alive today.
