I agree with you , my wife is Irish and most of our friends are it was difficult to find accommodation but when asking to rent a room in North London you would be told by the Landlord face to face no room at the Inn, black people even more so, none of them can remember seeing such signs, that is why an unscrupulous property owner whose name I have forgotten that owned many dilapidated houses in Notting Hill made millions by packing lots of black people in for years, eventually if I recall correctly he ended up in Court What I did see on in the early 70's in pub windows and doors in North London most of which were run or owned by Irish Landlords were signs saying " No Travellers Gypsies " Peter Rachman? That's him thank you |

When was that, about 1600 or so? It is nonsense like that statement that eggs on the black people and gives them a sense of grievance that doesn't help anyone, least of all them. 1970s. No blacks, Irish or dogs was commonplace. What's wrong with dogs?  |

The Bristol Bus Boycott was a boycott of buses by black people because the Bristol Bus Company refused to employ any black people.
Popular Trinidadian cricketer Learie Constantine was awarded damages at the High Court after being turned away from the Imperial Hotel in Russell Square, London in 1943. The proprietor believed his presence would offend white American servicemen staying at the hotel.
For many Caribbean immigrants in the 1950s and 1960s, their first experience of discrimination came when trying to find private accommodation. They were generally ineligible for council housing because only people who had been resident in the UK for a minimum of five years qualified for it. At the time, there was no anti-discrimination legislation to prevent landlords from refusing to accept black tenants. A survey undertaken in Birmingham in 1956 found that only 15 of a total of 1,000 white people surveyed would let a room to a black tenant. As a result, many black immigrants were forced to live in slum areas of cities, where the housing was of poor quality and there were problems of crime, violence and prostitution.

If lefties have to dig up stuff from the 1940s , 50s 60s and 70s to excuse a racism against white people today then they are not only disingenuous but desperate too. My guess is that by international standards the UK wasn't all that bad at all - hence the movement. I'd hate to try similar as (say) a sudden and unexpected rush of homeless Chinese people arriving in the Caribbean |

If you want to see racism in the 21st century visit Abu Dhabi and Dubai, that will excite you far more than looking for things to bitch about in the UK.
If I'm wrong and those that say we are a racist society are correct I wonder why all these people are wading ashore everyday, is it because the UK is a great destination despite the terrible white people who live in it?
