Starmer said yesterday he wants the UK to have a "closer trading relationship with the EU" Doesn't EVERYONE want a closer trading relationship with the EU? That's just logic.

It was never more than a one sided trading relationship anyway, when the UK just became an inroad for the Yanks and the Chinese and anyone else who wanted trade with the EU via the backdoor, so yes they do in the fact because they lost their easy inroads. Especially the bankers. Who incidentally have stitched up every effort to make Brexit work for the people of the UK cheered on by the likes of yourself.

Neither of your links reveal that Starmer has disclosed that we are rejoining the EU. You appear to have a reading deficiency. And please stop the name calling. It's demeaning. Only yesterday sunshine starmer was banging on about having closer ties to the EUSSR WHICH you should know full well before you blindly leap to his defence.

Yes very true what however creates the problems is the cost of such a relationship. Many have believed it was always too high and no doubt will continue to be too high but Starmer may pay it on our behalf in a nice cosy remainer sort of way that will facilitate re-entry in some not too distant time.

The DM have just gone full-on Voice Of CCHQ over Mr Starmer. In their panic, they're trying to portray him as the lovechild of Jeremy Corbyn and Pol Pot.
Ha ha. Mister Starmer is more like the lovechild of Neil Kinnock and Tony Blair.

That is true. I think that the best idea would be to bring back Boris. After Slimy Sunak no one will care if he like a drink with his mates at Christmas. So Bojo can get on with keeping us out of Europe, waving his hands in the air and bonking everything in sight while the Mogg stays in the background and runs the country. If the best hope for the Tories is bringing back Boris with Mogg in real control then they truly are in trouble, lol Whilst Starmer in the top seat and Rayner running the show is OK ? (I know he isn’t your favourite person but if Sunak doesn’t stay in number ten next year it wont be twatford, whoever replaces Price, Humza Wossisname, and the face if tbe pIRA in sunak’s place will it ?

A closer trading relationship does not have to be a part of the single market. My point is whether the EU want a closer trading relationship with us the UK, and if they do, it is within their remit to change / pass/ edit laws or regulations to facilitate easier trade. The subtext being that they really don't want to ease trade, even though it inconveniences them, just as much as us.

I predicted this before the local elections, and its coming true, this mornings Huffington Post Headline ..... Misery for Sunak as Tories start Civil War
"The party has descended into open civil war as a general election defeat looms" (Huffington Post)www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/misery-for-rishi-sunak-as-tories-completely-lose-plot_uk_64661b41e4b06749be120935Too many of the new generation Tories are more interested in fighting "Culture Wars" instead of concentrating on matters that really count to voters, and policies which might improve peoples lives. The last four polls seem to indicate that the gap is widening again between the two parties, this is the latest published 19th by YouGov ... LAB 43 CON 25 LD 12 GRN 8 REF 6

When the Tories go Labour will inherit the chaos now and will be defeated by it. New politics will be born, we cant go on like this. All of it needs to be slung into a skip. Labour couldn't run a whelk stall let alone a country I agree. But apart from one complete and utter folly of self buggery in 2003 in the place tgat sent Nye Bevan to create the NHS, anyone living in wales will tell you that utter rabid hatred of the tories for their actions since the iron masters revolt of 1830 odd and the Tonypandy Riots of about the same time ensure no Tory will EVER run a devolved administration which is why Blair was do keen to implement them, to destroy the United Kingdom and the Monarchy of which he had a seething hatred.

I understand the details now My answer is still a bug fat NO Because if you listen to what the Bussels Hegemonists have said on every occasion since Major’s bollox on subsidiarity got Maastricht through without the riots it should have created, the ONLY game the EU want is total control of our output through the single market. They have no other songbook. What you imply might be possible is a lost cause and unless a miracle happens in toryland in the next 6-9 months, or labour truly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, for which they DO have form, ask Stephen Kinnock about his dad, then you and the rest of the UK will soon find iut.
