. Or maybe I was anti EU from childhood? It would be nice to think I was that switched on aged 5. No red. I think it just the natural in born ability of all englishman coming into the world hating europeans. I always thought it strange that a country that is basically made up of a mix of germans , danish , with a french nobility to hate their european brethern so much , but it guess all those wars fighting johnny foreigner over the centuries does that. Why on earth do you think I hate Europeans? Nothing could be further from the truth. Having said that, the French can be testing, however. On the whole I like Europe and Europeans. It's the EU I dislike. The problem with Europhiles is they struggle to differentiate between the continent of Europe which is 600,000 years old, and the EU, which is five minutes old. |

The EU is not Europe. In fact, the EU could be thought of as foreign occupation ruled over by corporate think tanks that look upon national sovereignty with utter contempt. It seems to hate European civilisation, where some member states believe it's too decadent to fight for it.
