Did anyone watch her performance in the Commons yesterday? I was only half listening but she is a piece of work alright. She's one of these Blacks who seems to possess a sort of effortless arrogance and condescension. I think she insulted virtually everybody. I'll have to watch it again if I can find it. The Speaker was decidedly miffed.

The clip I seen she was slouched over like she was pissed, typical arrogance while addressing the speaker of the house, another entitled disrespectful to anyone white in authority.

...actually thinking about it, the next speaker of the house if the box ticking is still compulsory, will be a black woman.

She was rude and disrespectful, did not follow the correct protocol and gave an apology that was an even worse non-apology than Priti Patel. She deserved her telling off.
The fact that she is black is totally irrelevant to the episode, except for those to whom it matters.

Gone are the days when the right qualified person was picked for the job, now it's a box ticking exercise, and skill, qualifications and ability don't come in to it, just ask Kwasi Kwarteng, who has caused mortgage payers more misery.

Well I totally agree with you that Kwasi Kwarteng was not fit to be chancellor. I wouldn't say that he got the job because he was black, unlike Liz Truss who very much got the job because she was not brown.

Some folks do make me laugh
Firstly, we have a society where black or Asian people cannot get decent jobs, or promotions, or decent housing.
Then we progress into the 1960s and in order to address the prejudice which was widespread, we introduce The Race Relations Act.
Things improve, but not enough, theres still widespread discrimination, virtually no black police officers, and we still only associate black people with hospital cleaners ( the female ones can be nurses ), bus drivers or tube workers. No one associates black people with been a judge, an MP, lawyer or a TV presenter.
The 1970s arrive, the National Front, send them home, Britain is a "white country", but never the less things do improve with another Race Relations Bill.
The 1980s, horrific and widespread discrimination by our police forces, particularly The Met, who still have very few black or Asian officers. discrimination in areas of employment, Thatchers policies, poor housing, poverty and police harassment erupts into riots.
Several inquiries make it plain ... society has to change, and the Metropolitan Police are "Institutionally Racist".
And people wonder why Positive Discrimination was ever introduced ?
It was introduced to put many wrongs .. right, and once society has changed enough, and balance resembles society, then positive discrimination can be abandoned.

What are you going to attempt to push back on ? ... that discrimination and prejudice never happened, or that the MacPherson Inquiry was wrong, or that governments introduced Race Relations Bills just for something to do.

What a load of old bollocks.

So it's ok to promote for colour or gender and let's all forget merit. Universities are prioritising the State educated with lesser A level grades and losing status because of it. We are all worse off for the righteous meddling of those who determine that merit is binned in favour of ticks in boxes. We are suffering from mediocrity in every part of society that determines the welfare of everyone from politicians to teachers, doctors to Snivel servants. Just how long will it take for anyone to use some common sense and realise that what we need is able people.

Oh no, you're not another one clinging to the past are you, as another poster pointed out, I take it you don't have a tv?
Watch Eastenders, Corrie, and Emmerdale, there's hardly any white faces, oh and while you're at it when there's a commercial break just watch the adverts, you'll see even less white faces.
History is history = the past, jump forward to today, the only people under represented in any walk of life in their 'own country', is British White people.

Any institution that uses positive discrimination is institutionally racist . The claim Asian people can’t get decent jobs , promotion or decent housing is an outright lie.
