I doubt there's much chance of Badenoch replacing Sunak, or ever becoming prime minister. I think because of her initial popularity particularly during the hustings for prime minister, she has become over confident. She has certainly pissed off a lot of back benchers who are currently not impressed with Sunak/Badenoch binning the Retained EU law bill. There is currently discontent with Sunak among MPs, in betting Badenoch is favourite for leader of the Tories in front of Boris. The Tory faithful will not appreciate her binning the Retained EU law bill. That's a cast iron certainty. |

Even though she said it was her decision to scrap the Retained EU law bill, the buck stops with Sunak, not Badenoch. |

It must be said that the ladies of the right in the Conservative Party do exclude more allure than the unkempt dowdy overweight foul mouthed drabs in the Labour Party. That could be worth a vote alone. That is true and Suella Braverman has always played an important part in my dirty old man fantasies. I have tried to get turned on by the thought of Angela "Thunder Thighs" Rayner cracking walnuts between her knees, but it doesn't seem to work somehow.
Be that as it may be, Sunak seems to have either lost control of his cabinet or is trying to reverse the UK back into the EU or both

Oh yes I can ... most of my post is factual history anyway, it happened, its history, its a matter of fact. What are you going to attempt to push back on ? ... that discrimination and prejudice never happened, or that the MacPherson Inquiry was wrong, or that governments introduced Race Relations Bills just for something to do. What your kind of people often attempt to do, is to suggest or infer that it is white people who are been discriminated against, simply because measures are put in place to change things, and change attitudes. You attempt to turn the argument upside down.

So it is alright for a coloured man to defend us from foreign body but not from malice domestic”. (reference to the numbers of men from the Caribbean who fought in two world wars )
We have seen report after report, government inquiries and every other kind of inquiries from sports clubs to select committee's which have all concluded the same, or similar.
Discrimination and social attitudes do not change overnight, prejudices amongst society does not suddenly end, it has taken generations to get where we are today - and though things are much, much better, there are still some problems.

Since you mentioned McPherson can you point to one piece of evidence in McPherson that was used to form the conclusion that the met were institutionally racist. It was a wide ranging conclusion that saw many changes in many ways yet it had no factual evidence presented as to how that conclusion was reached. There were over 40,000 people working in the met at the time yet all were branded as being part of an Institution the procedures of which, and the culture of which worked to the disadvantage of ethnic minorities on what was effectively an assumption by the man heading the Inquiry. No way to run a country. |

The bottom line is that she announced a policy (that broke a promise that Sunak made) in the Press rather than Parliament - which pissed off the Speaker. She was then incredibly dismissive in her apology to the Speaker when she was called to the house for an urgent question to explain herself. She has basically failed to get the Blob to do what the PM promised and she can't be arsed to put any pressure on them. She then managed to insult the Opposition, which is fair enough, but also most of the Tory party in various ways. That's quite an achievement. I've been reading various stories about Badenoch. She does seem to be one of these arrogant and entitled Blacks who think they're untouchable. She doesn't turn up to meetings on time, doesn't do her homework and is condescending an rude to people. She's not going to get anywhere with this attitude. Arrogant and entitled blacks , arrogant and entitled Asians , arrogant and entitled whites. There seems to be a pattern here . I think if you'd spent the amount of time I've spent living in Africa you would realise that many thousands of years of evolution in a different environment has led to very different racial characteristics. I know the left like to think that all races are exactly the same - with the exception of skin colour - but that's simply not true. |
